LOL, LS is an uninspired, odd skill that merely looks like it was FOTM a while back and or is there because it's a "safer" cleave option for squishbag CI builds, and got a reason to be used here for a bit due to multistrike, only to have it taken away immediately seemingly
"for ze lulz" Ofc melee doing too much damage isn't the issue as much as it's them being annihilated in combat quickly unless hp stacked out the wazoo, but what I don't understand is why put the rush on this fix when it offers up something melee don't need (damage) when their gem release, was in fact to give them more....damage... that they....didn't need :/ |

" :3 love the pic(Huge fan of him jackie) but to the last thing, high melee dmg comes at the cost of dying fast, but even with my (HP node stacking fantasie and armor stacking and getting 80+ hp/high arm/chaos resist, ele dmg and on all my items, while having a shield, i still get desttroyed Fast !. hell doing 69+ maps with that isnt anything beautifull, and with 4.8k dps its slow as hell, if i get another dmg nerf, i might as well stop playing the char. and hell thats with yeah, read above in my post, dont wonna repeat to much :3. as it seems atm, melee is sucky as hell, and with this nerf aanother group of melee chars will reroll or stop playing all together, today i saw lots of 20% Ls and Ms going so cheap i was nearly tempted to buying em even with the bloody nerfs, utter worthless gems now with the nerf coming. sometimes i wonder if the guyz fixing these things even play the game, or know what the hell is going on with builds. all the limiting will kill of the game slowly, (bloody hell fix the melee survivability before nerfing sily low dps builds already or nerf the builds that actully do 30k+ dps and have the same survivability as a bloody tanky melee char. some builds are actully going to get utterly destroyed with this nerf. " My only real point was that we got given "damage" gems, and a terrible totem recently, meanwhile everywhere people are complaining that there's far too much active mitigation input required to roll high level melee characters, and there's no gain for the insane tradeoff in survival for being ranged over melee, and then when this unwittingly generated MORE damage (the thing we don't bloody need) it's a huge priority to get it fixed... If melee are doing a little more damage, it's kinda deserved lol. Besides not like multistrike is going to make physical damage any better is it? XD ele cleave or gtfo brothers... |

I find it funny people call this a nerf to melee and cry how much melee need buff - since when was LS used as a melee spell, bar maybe 2% of the hipster circle?
I prefer it over FP/EK easily, the damage attainable is insane. " Which is a reason to alter it's mechanics and give it a clearly defined melee or ranged role as opposed to "herp derp hold shift and spam" and melee characters were using it, both as ranged and melee lol... good point though |

The only problems melee have in this game is desync, if there was no desync "smart" melee could be played and stacking life would be less mandatory, in return the good physical nodes could be taken and the ranged vs melee damage debate would be over( since clearly physical scales way higher then elemental damage if it was "viable" in current content)

So theres 16 pages of ppl crying over what they think is wrong terminology.
Deal with it kids, its getting changed, either as abug or as a fix. It honestly doesnt matter. The change is coming and GGG intends it to happen this way. You can either deal with it like grown ups or go cry to your momah. Quoting Kripp isnt really an argument btw, its a weakness. It means you cant think for yourself properly and form your own arguments. This is common however for most ppl in the world so no need to worry too much about it. Personally i think its a fix, but it really doesnt matter. |
