Yes, let's ignore half of the game's mechanics and then call armor bad.
Well your math was really off. With a full granite on(which again is horribly unreliable) you're still only around 20k which is nothing versus big hits. Meanwhile evasion has the ability to negate a lot more damage from these hits(by not being hit).
Never seen high level molten used in an endgame setting, sorry.
LOL, biggest joke of the year. Bet me your stash.
And there are builds out there that can all but permarun granite flasks.
but molten shell (after cwdt change) sadly is almost extinct. tried heavily to use it and as mentioned it is too slow. cast on stun/cwdt or some cast on kill tricks are not enough to make it reliable
You're right, everybody who dies in the new HC league is bad. They just don't want to adjust to the difficulty. Anybody who is complaining about the stupidity of the new bosses just needs to get better and stop QQing.
So maybe you could share your techniques for avoiding this death:

These guys aren't noobs. They are veteran streamers running res-capped, tanky high-life builds.
P.S. there is no escaping the titties.
They aren't noobs, yeah, but they did noob mistakes
First video:
A bunch of vaal construct is already a HUGE warning for the next boss. Also he had elemental weakness on and he got 2 shotted, not 1 shotted while weakened. A topaz flask could have saved him. He played extremenly uncautious and didn't even notice the boss, 100% his fault here
Second video:
Ok, already leap slamming in this league is stupid as fuck, then he notices the 10+ pack of titty and doesn't run away? as soon as you see more than 6 titties you should run away, because there is the rain maker.
And to clarify: i encountered both of these bosses until now. The first one was always noticeable and i killed him maybe 2-3 times with 0 problems, even with 50 light res, the second i was always able to avoid her. Even in lunaris 3 where i encountered her the first time. All you need is cautious play, not leapslamming through dungeon mindlessly
Mind that i'm not even a SB build, i'm a SF bow build lol

Not saying he's a bad player or anything. So the guy made one misplay, which we recorded on video. So what? I make misplays too. But when I do, I call them what they are: misplays.
Scrotie, withh all respect try Invasion.
This armchair "i look at the screen" hand waving does not help.
My first ding happened in Cruel Lower.
I was moving left-down with 1000- HP and 35% fire.
It was long straight corridor.
Next thing I notice were LMP fireballs from carrier queen boss.
I didn't see the boss at all.
I only saw two series LMP fireballs from the corner of the screen.
Potted, run away, remade the instance because she was guarding the only way.
If it were Chaska, I'd be dead.
OP pointed that getting to Ledge WP is the biggest fun of A1.
This is so very true.
About Ch'aska: the rain of tears attack definitely deals physical damage, it explodes Molten Shell immediately. Also, armor does mitigate it since said Molten Shell was the only reason I survived in Normal. I'm guessing in Cruel and Merciless the damage numbers will be so high that only many tens of thousands of armor will make any difference.
You have to be realistic about these things.

He was leap slamming through already cleared areas. Please stop blaming the leap slamming for what happened - it had nothing to do with the 0.5 second death. You also don't have an answer to how they are to be killed (avoiding is not the answer, its a temporary workaround not a solution).
His build used Leap Slam purely for mobility for running through already cleared rooms so that a quicksilver doesn't ahve to be wasted.

First video.... Judgement Apparatus (Epic name for Epic nub stomper)
Note what curse he has on him.
Note he had this curse one him for a very long time before he died.
Note you can see the boss which he claims he can not see in the top right of the screen for along time.
Note that he did not get 1 shot but got hit by 2 lightning balls twice for a total of 4 hits at least "one shot".
He could have avoided this death by respecting the Boss and not just assuming "oh i'm pro nothing to worry about."
Enfeeble. Kiting. Remove curse flask. Live to fight another Invasion boss.
Second video.... Her name eludes me atm but another "imbalance" boss.
Note that again, you see the boss on the screen for a long time... while the player just chills standing still hitting monsters like nothing is about to happen to him.
Note again the lack of enfeeble, kiting, or even temporal chains. This even a worse example as along with the boss this character is tanking a decent amount of dps already from the massive amount of monsters infront of the boss.
Enfeeble. quicksilver flasks. Kite. Dual curse if you have means temp chains. Chill or freeze effects if you have them. Arctic Armour might work against the attack but it seems to be large hits not a massive amount of smalls hits. Live to fight another Invasion boss. Any kind of defensive aura or flasks. He did show you an example of what not to do with a Jade flask, don't activate it then complain about your durability.
I'm sure you won't agree and clearly these bosses are imbalance and the players made zero mistakes. Just stopping by... Not sure why I bother anymore to be completely honest.
Hindsight is 20/20. It is easier to spot the Boss when you know there should be one and your not concerned with the mobs right next to you.
Can the bosses be defeated. Sure. Efficiently... no. Safely... no. Is there any reward for fighting them.... no.
IF your going to put random bosses throughout the game that are more dangerous than end game bosses they at least should drop gear better than end game bosses. A little reward for the risk? As it is... the reward is you get to keep playing in the league... the risk... you do not.
First off, I want to say Clocksimus's analysis is one of the best quality posts in this thread. However, I definitely think Betrunken has a point too (even if not as well articulated) about risk/reward.
Clocksimus is correct that both players should have realized the danger they were in seconds prior to their deaths, and thus had opportunities to take immediate action. As such, I think it's fair to say both characters should have lived.
However, I do not believe said immediate action should have involved pressing forward and facing the boss, at least not from a risk/reward perspective. No, the best immediate action was to back away and progress through the zone using an alternate route which didn't involve the risk of fighting such abominations.
If GGG wants players to actually face those dangers once they see them, as opposed to running away like cowards, they're going to have to couple Invasion bosses with significant loot. Don't get me wrong, I'm with Clocksimus as far as nerfing the bosses themselves: keep them brutally difficult. That part is fine. But make them worth the effort to actually defeat.
If this was the case... I might be more interested in playing. Not only would it be more gratifying to kill the boss but the better drops would allow better gearing to fight the next one.
