Lightning Strike Multistrike Bugfix Incoming
" thats the thing, it already REduce melee dmg, just not the projectile, ! i cant see a reason for it to do so, since the str/iron grip doesnt work on it. |

" i think it does actually. both iron grip node and skill gem work on the ls since it is a projectile attack. IGN: Kills_La_Killz (Standard) IGN: UnlimitedBladeWork (Warband) Dernière édition par 07Ghost#2572, le 17 avr. 2013 à 13:48:48

" i already tested it out, iron grip that is, no /Improvement to the charsheet, and had the pleasure of trying it out as well, seemed like it had no effect at all, (or noticeable at all) 600+ str on my charr (^_^). Dernière édition par bloody1001#3298, le 17 avr. 2013 à 13:55:11

" That's because the projectile dmg is derived from your melee weapon damage, so it is already boosted by your str phys dmg bonus from melee. Alteration Orb Union Local #7

Lightning strike is both a melee AND a projectile attack. You don't get to pick and choose. The projectile damage is derived from a melee source. If the melee dmg is reduced, the projectile dmg should be reduced too. Alteration Orb Union Local #7 "Holding the line, on sixteen to one!" " This. I'm seriously wondering how this can have gone through 11 pages and no one mentioned this. What it says is that 50% of the physical damage is converted to lightning damage. Before that conversion, as the way this game's math is concerned, it has to take all physical damage buffs. That includes Melee Physical Damage increase from high strength, Melee nodes, and Weapon-specific nodes. Then, that 50% lightning damage gets shot out after the attack. That 50% lightning damage has already been buffed by strength, but it does take a 30% decrease as per the skill description. Now, what has been happening is that the Projectiles in this skill happen to be calculated separately from the Melee portion of the skill. That's just a programming shortcut that the devs decided to do. However, they forgot to put the Multistrike damage nerf to the Projectile part, as it should be, because the Projectile part is calculated from the Melee part, including all supports. youre clearly misunderstanding what im trying to tell ya, thats melee dmg, why should that have a effect on the projectiles dmg other then what it already does !.
my dmg is already reduced with 40%. anyway hell ! i shoulda gone LA ranger like the bloody rest instead of trying to make something else, i would have 10x the dmg and survivability |

" Because the projectile dmg comes from your melee dmg. If your melee dmg is decreased, the projectile dmg should too. This is why your str phys dmg bonus already applies to lightning strike projectiles, even without Iron Grip. Alteration Orb Union Local #7
