Uhm, no, perm loot allocation (the way I run my parties) means that you clear maps FASTER, because people don't quit fighting to go stand over and clickclickclickclickclick on that Chaos orb. 1.) Its a lot slower. Pack rats load up on everything and are really slow. really slow


2.) Permanent Loot Allocation only works if that player is still in the instance. Which means if something good drops you can remember where its at and come back after everyone leaves area.

3. Allocated drops are not fair at all and cause its own form of ragging. No longer then cry about normal people playing the game legit.(Loot ninjas). Now, they just rage at the game instead.

Best part is everyone can go QQ about something else now. So whats next for the QQ bunch?

Maybe easier respecs. Lord knws I never get tired of low lvl newbs with 2 hours of game time complaining about wantning easier respects. OR people who want the best drops in the 1st few days.


BTW, playing the game legit does not make a person an asshole.

no it most certainly does. If you werent so caught up in not getting everything you "deserve" then you would realize that psuedo-FFA loot added very much to the meta-game for builds, semi-balanced party play, and I believe kept the first level 100 off the charts for awhile due to loot rushing deaths (it would have been a hard-core hard-core gamer).

Perma-allocation is for people that want everything right now at any cost to the environment of the game imo.

Actually, that is exactly what FFA supporters are doing all over the place. 'You want allocated loot because you aren't 'leet' enough to pick up items fast!', 'Loot options are just for bad players that can't click pixels fast enough, lol omg, I so leet I can click on dem lewtz'

I mean, who are we to complain about the game becoming something different due to people that cant see beyond their own wants. The change has been made, that doesnt mean it was a change good for what PoE was, and definitely does not bode well for other tough encounter implementations in game. We have the right and duty as gamers to stand up to the nonsense spouted constantly that not catering to 'gimme now' crowd is going to destroy the game.

The funny thing is that noone is supporting FFA specifically.

Hey if you ask me short allocation was the perfect balance, there were a lot of other things they could have tried to improve. It gave you time to collect your item but kept you on the edge of your seat because you were constantly scanning the screen for drops.

If you would ask me to choose between SA and PA/SA/FFA I would always pick SA as the only option. FFA should have been the only thing to get implemented, simply because of variety. It would have added an option, PA isnt an option, its a new standard that will always be prefered by more people because humans dislike risk, always have and always will.

Ask yourself, was SA really that bad of a system? I cant remember people whining about how shit the loot system is, 9/10 threads were about desynch or people running out of maps. Implementing an option like this, catering to the natural preferences of humans, will obviously completely change the community and its impossible to turn the clocks back now, because theres no way you can put that genie back into a bottle without a vast amount of people going apeshit.

Gotta agree. Its the FFA only crowd that just has to feel superior to other players who have no desire to pvp during combat. They are so full of themselves its sickening.
