Permanent Loot Allocation ... for .. why?
" You dont seem to understand that Glorious Plates, Vaal Regalias, Imperial Bows, Occultist Vestments on so many other whites actually are stuff people compete for in end game maps because they are valuable for multiple reasons (or atleast give you the chance to get a unique). " It is, yes. Besides, youre misusing the term ninja looting as well since its something that didnt even exist in the game unless you purposely looted a map makers map. Why is that ninjaing? Because its his item and he has no chance to contest it if you decide on looting it. Thats what ninjaing defines. If and item drops for you and you dont manage to pick it up in the given time but someone else does after said time is over thats as far from ninja looting as it can get. " Not in HC/Onslaught, thats for sure. |

" Whats that have to do with permanent allocation. PA would be pretty odd if it didn't allocate EVERYTHING with value. Thats the point. To eliminate competition. " It existed in the minds of the players which makes it more real than any other reason to make it real. Standard Forever

" Its odd because they are developers who always talked about how much they want the loot system to be a competition so if they would actually still have their own oppinion they wouldnt completely give in. Rares, gems, currency being allocated would completely fuck over their own standards already, no reason to include high level whites as well. Because by doing so they simply show how little they care about their own ideals at this stage. " If theres an item drop for you and you cant manage to pick it up in the given time (3-6seconds) you should blame your own incompetence, not the player who picks it up after you had plenty of time to loot it without anyone being able to contest you for it. But hey, people love to blame others for their own short comings. Has always been and will always be like that. Dernière édition par nynyny#3398, le 15 juin 2013 à 22:52:15

Some people like this game with no competition. Which makes sense since this game is not at all built for competitive pvp. It makes far more sense to appeal to the PVE only players as well as pvp. Your apparently on the competitive side of the discussion since you think that anyone who misses a drop is to blame for being "unskilled".
Why exactly are you more concerned with their ideals that they are? If it was that important to them then they simply wouldn't have done it. Standard Forever

" Which is a pretty naive thing to say, afterall they want a lot of people to play it. That automatically makes you do stuff you dont want to do for the sake of the projects well being (financial success). Completely abandoning your ideals simply isnt the right way though, at least in my opinion, and thats why I am criticizing them for it. |

"you don't have to play in pub groups"

" Which, as I stated in the OP, is false, at least to some extend. |

" Good or bad, 90% of people want to use it which is a sign of something. They like it, I guess. ✠ ✠

Think of it this way: does ggg want to chase off 90% of there potential player base, which will have a certain % of financial support? Hell no. So they caved, eeeerr, compromised.
What would the overall player base be like if the game was only HC? So naturally there are options, leagues. And races. And now, loot allocation. It's a good thing in the end, even if you don't agree with it. BLAMT!
