Permanent Loot Allocation ... for .. why?
" Entitled to loot you say? By playing a loot based game? The nerve! " Wait a second. We don't have to do anything for items now? So I can just afk and stuff magically appears in my inventory? Oh your insinuating that slaying the monsters and picking up drops is a hand out? I guess all those people playing single player are a bunch of free loading moochers then eh? " Maybe you didn't get the memo but if you don't like it then you don't have to play it. You can select FFA and actually play with other people who like to play FFA. I know! Isn't it great!. " Your posts are very amusing. So much QQ from one player. Standard Forever Dernière édition par iamstryker#5952, le 18 juin 2013 à 04:14:15

" The problem is, you have people that build completely defensive builds and will just 'hover' around in mobs and wait for ranged to kill, but won't actively do any killing themselves. So while the ranged people are in the process of killing enough of the mob for it to be safe for them to rush in and grab their loot, there are remaining monsters that continue to pose a threat. Said defensive player, or what we call a 'tank', will simply sit there and take their loot because they know that they'll be killed if they get too close to the mob themselves. Permanent allocation is great, because it allows us 'glass cannons' to get our fair share of loot. Edit to mention: I guess it's fair if a person's internet lags and someone else grabs their loot?...Fair seems like a rather subjective term, doesn't it? Still in the alpha stage, but at least build diversity isn't an issue: https://wolcengame.com/home/ Dernière édition par JNF#6963, le 18 juin 2013 à 06:21:53

If you like permanent allocation, play with permanent allocation. If you don't, don't. What is the big damn deal?

" My 2 cents: I find that the groups that do perma allocation (which is >50% these days) have members that are completely worthless, due to the "guaranteed" loot. Afkers, non-dpsers, chest-poppers, hang-so-far-behind-they-almost-aren't-even-in-range-to-be-on-loot-list'ers, etc. While this shouldn't be a problem, "go make your own group or join one that doesn't have them", they simply don't fill up anymore like perm groups do, as the other portion of players, those that aren't worthless; tend to still be impatient and want to hop into *any* group that will fill up more quickly (and therefore maximize loot+xp potential). What neither group seems to realize is that its boring, incredibly boring, without that loot tension. And they will both be joining the "uh well I like the game but I just kinda got bored and stopped playing" group. Just my opinion. |

" indeed .. therefore OP reasoning is invalid... great for totemist and summoners.. as they got loot visible all the time and pick up just by targeting.. for melee its not the option .. another reason why the OP reasoning is invalid... Probably crazy cause he cant loot cause other people are busy fighting as they are dependant on life leech etc. |

" Option B will encourage better gameplay, if option B is permanent allocation. You don't get better gameplay just by adding in another element to the gameplay, no matter how much skill that element takes. With permanent allocation you can focus more on the actual game and thus you get better gameplay! It's just not true that without FFA loot better gameplay is not encouraged or that people will be discouraged from paying attention. Looting is NOT the game. It never was and never will be. |

" This is not an issue caused by perm allocation. There were allways these kind of players in this game. Solution is quit simple, play with friends. @OP There is an option in the game to "CREATE PUBLIC GAMES" and an other option "SHORT ALLOCATION". How about using them and play with your "not a ninja, but ninja like" random ppl? I could use all your "statements" against you but i think its not necessary. English is my third language, there will be bugs.
