Are Stash Tabs Pay To Win ? Science

^ That's what I'm saying: tabs are pay to have an advantage that makes winning faster and easier. Things can be won without tabs, but having lots of tabs really speeds up the winning process.

It's like racing in F1. Sure you could win with a Caterham, but driving a Mercedes leads to so much more stylish winning...

When I have 20 bucks to spend on MTX, I never pick some overpriced candy effect, always tabs, because candy effects have zero win potential (unless you count slowing down opponent FPS in PvP, but that's marginal and probably applies to your comp. too :P)

Also an important thing to note is that tabs are not automatic win, it's how you use them. But going for the win and not having any extra tabs? Meh, not sure if serious..

granted, the last times one of these shitposts emerged there werent 30 pages of people saying "yes it is" and "no it isnt" over and over again like a fucking monty python sketch

lil bit. But not like a dedicated grinder with only 4 tabs wouldnt stomp my ass in any race who only play about 10 hrs a week with 20 tabs.

Compare to diablo 3 of past i could buy GG in 30 min on AH. That was pay to win.

The comparison should be between two people who play with the same skill level and time investment. If you can purchase something with real life money that gives you an advantage over what you would normally have, that is generally regarded as P2W.

If that advantage is extremely small, it is considered negligible P2W, or "not even P2W at all". It is up to each person to decide how small their threshold of "negligible" is. Ideally GGG would not have even made this a concern, but they were compelled for unknown reasons to not just stick with cosmetics.

I'm imagining a world in which every account has infinite (or LARGE_NUMBER, like 100) stash tabs and I don't really see the harm in it. Only GGG knows how much money they're making on stash tabs. It's probably way more than we'd be comfortable knowing.
