Are Stash Tabs Pay To Win ? Science
" The very simple facts that I stated ( which actually are obvious ) comes from experience, which you clearly lack ( not everybody gets the same out of x hours spent on something, I don't know how much you've spent, but it was most likely inefficient in term of experience gain, or you didn't spend much time ). Some strong arguments that you have there btw lol. " When one has no point .... it's pretty easy to spot, isn't it ? SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Obviously, one can only win PoE by acquiring Win Fireworks.
Also, it is really up to the player to define and achieve winning. Stash Tabs don't help a player be better at PoE, they provide a player with more space to collect items. If collecting items is a part of winning to you, then Stash Tabs might be Pay2Win for you. Stash Tabs are more of a convenience than a facilitator of winning, imo. No one wins PoE by simply having more space, unless having a lot of space is your idea of winning. I only bought Stash Tabs so that I could keep killing monsters and collecting loot, AKA to avoid the trade/barter game. I almost regret it. For me, Stash Tabs were more Pay2Play. I didn't want Stash Tabs, I just wanted to kill stuff and be able to hold onto items I found without having to immediately deal with trading/prioritizing items. It is kind of sad really. In general, less Stash Tabs means having to engage in trading/vendoring/muling more often in order to have space for items. More Stash Tabs means the ability to mindlessly slay monsters, collect items, and defer dealing with trading/vendoring/muling until a later time. So, if you like to kill monsters, and you can't be bothered to deal with trading/vendoring/prioritizing items on a continuous basis, Stash Tabs might be Pay2Play for you (and if you can't play, how can you win?). TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional. " For God´s sake, GGG please give this boy a free tab and force him to use it for doing the alchemy recipe for the rest of his life in Wraeclast ! Seriously, I can´t hear it any more. @ John Keys: Usually I agree a lot with your views and postings, but on this one nope. P2w is clearly used for games who won´t offer you a free alternative to the stuff they sell. Or pretend to give you a chance to reach it by lootdrops but put their RNG so low that you will never find this loot. For example if GGG would alternatively sell their tabs for 1000 eternals or mirrors instead of giving you free space. That would be pay to win. Something else, I also got a pretty old graphic card in a win32 machine. I cannot even run Dominus because of the weather up there. But i can start a second client and use it as mule. It is terrible slowly, but works without problem as long as I don´t choose a bad weather corner ;) So I meet my second me , change whatever I want and leave again - everything fine ... |

so, i'm not allowed to name names of which forum moderator gave me a warning, but, somehow, something i said was bad and i was given a warning anyway.
aside from the typical jokes and whatever from some of you, can ANYone recall something that was so bad some moderator had to delete my post? I can't, and no quote was given for what i did either, which i found kind of strange. well GGG doesn't want me shaming people by naming names so this mod will have to remain unnamed. 1 thing i will say.... i'm very glad i live in america. wait, one more thing i'll add... i raced some dude that lives near me, some little black car with purple wheels. His car about 2 inches off the ground... tricked out muffler to make his car sound all loud and mean. which, yup you guessed it, usually means their cars are slower and for show. so i dusted him and had a slight laugh. i thought of you guys and yelled out the window at him at the stop light we were at and say... "My Car... You Got To Pay To Win !!!". Now i don't know what i did here that got some moderator on my case, but i'm sure some forum moderator will ban me for life now, for saying the word "car" in a game of pedestrian characters, or maybe cuz i said "i'm glad i live in america", or maybe i said the word "I" one too many times and i didn't read the EULA quite close enough. Hey GGG, no offense but seriously i think if you have a problem with something someone says, you should maybe quote the problem, unless it's so glaringly obvious like cussing at someone or something. Thanks. |

Crusader, just how many people do you actually think spend the time to save tabs full of items for an alc recipe? I don't know anybody that does. Hell, I see people leaving scrolls on the ground in every public game I've ever played in. If they don't take the time to save scrolls, which have a direct upgrade path to higher currency, why would they take even more time and storage space for some alc recipe that hasn't been efficient for like 2 years?

" I haven't played for 2 years, i've probably played for 5 months tops. i won't pretend to know the intricate details of this stuff, all i know is if you have enough tabs, you don't have to scrap your junk yellows. You can just save them, base types or whatever, in different tabs and so every run you do you have something that will complete some recipe, or close to it for later, alch in this case. Not just trash your crud. the chaos recipe i'd ever do, i could do in 4 tabs (though it'd be extremely tight seeing as i get squished for room even without trying to run chaos). my point is that even if "you" don't run the alch recipes this way, some people do run alchs. i've seen youtubes of just this stash organization. Not just for chaos but alch's too. and coupled with the fact i see people talk about chaos recipe usually bottlenecked for rings/amulets, alch'ing whites you find of them isn't so out of the question is it? way more profitable than JUST selling the yellows at vendor. honestly i didn't write the thread to argue "how much of an advantage, barely an advantage vs whatever"... that's really all this thread has turned into though. i wrote the thread just to state a fact. If a POE player's life depended on making as much chaos value (overall currency, alchs etc etc) as possible over a month period, the person would obviously want 50 tabs, as opposed to 4 tabs. No one would say "gee i can make as much as possible, with just 4 tabs. And 12 mule accounts to equal about 50 tabs." The smartest, easiest, and fastest and thus most productive way to do this, would be to have all the tabs, right under your nose on 1 character. THAT is the point of the thread, to just get people to admit the obvious about the pay to win nature of stash tabs and move on from even caring. not argue about "how negligible it is". Cuz even then, it aint negligible. whether a player is running tabs to gain advantage depends on the player, but 200 tabs WILL gain you more currency over time. IF, you try. people can argue about "what is pay to win". it isn't about winning, it's about cash, for advantage... whether you come close to winning or not. The top level players in POE don't even need more than 4 stash, as they have networks of player friends that can just dump whatever item they need in their lap anyway. Lvl 20 gems early, you name it. the point is only that regardless of how you use stash, the advantages are there. In WAY more ways than i even mention here. I ONLY talked about 1... alch's... to the 8 year olds in the thread origin. need i really mention every other way too ? no. This is all too obvious. stash tabs = pay to win aka pay for advantage.... aka.... so what. i couldn't care less if GGG started making 50,000 pay for advantage items. in fact i'd probably like em more for it. |
