Depends what you mean by "pay to win."

At some point, you WILL need to buy stash tabs if you have more than 1 end game character (and even if you do, trust me) you could always make just a bunch of mule accounts, however that gets VERY tedious..very fast. Having to constantly make another account and run through the twilight strand and then transfer those items over, it takes time and that's time wasted you could be doing farming or something. Is it a lot of time? Not really, but like I said it's tedious. There are certain things having a big stash can help with like the chaos recipe, etc. Other vendoring recipes as well are helpful. This all requires a lot more than 4 stash tabs. Hell I had 10 and that got filled up very quick, even in different leagues.

Also, yes RMT definitely exists in this game. You're just foolish if you think otherwise. Hell, like 8 of the top 10 people on the Domination ladder RMT'd. It's sad yes, but there are a lot of ways going about it..

Also yeah you'll get banned if you RMT, but that's in most every game besides D3. But like most games, there are ways around it. And believe me, MORE players than you think actually do this.

I don't know how much I can actually say about this because it'd be breaking the rules or whatever, so I can't really say more..(I don't know why if it can educate others though...) but YES PoE is definitely P2W when it boils down.

The helm's good, sure, but that's not even my main shit. I'm only using it to abuse the FM + EP mechanics before they nerf it to the ground. I actually got it for free from a dude giving away a bunch of uniques. The chest was a 5L that dropped in the docks, so I used some scraps and an alch and that is what I got out of it. I'm saving up for a 6L, but I have a ways to go before I can afford one. All my other stuff was acquired for about 4-6 chaos each (except for the gloves, those were free too, and the boots and belt were drops I found while grinding). My point is, you don't have to buy (RMT) ANY gear to play a viable build. Just be patient and trade for stuff that meets your immediate goals. I only traded for a few of the gems I'm using. In fact, I have multiples of virtually each one. Play long enough, and you're bound to get stuff you need. You might not ever see godly drops, but the stuff you do find is adequate.

The only thing you can argue is P2W about this game is the stash tabs.

RMT is illegal.
It is something that can get you banned.
You are not allowed to do it.
If you do it, you are breaking the rules.

Now that we've established that, calling the game P2W because of something that people are not allowed to do is nothing short of asinine.

I hate stating something and then following up with "I'm right, you're wrong, end of discussion", because that is a horrible and childish way to debate a topic.
However, there simply is nothing to debate here (unless its about stash tabs).

You cannot call a game P2W based around an illegal practice.

Exactly, because with that logic, I'm allowed to kill people in the US. I could be jailed if I get caught, but otherwise, I'm allowed to kill as many and as often as I want.
