Is PoE Pay to win?

Pay 2 Win implies that the company is trying to make profit out of the players wish to "be the best" or to "progress as fast as possible". This is definately not the case here. Yes, there are third party websites that sell stuff, but GGG don't support those activities.

So no, the game is not pay to win at all, this game is play to win, yet plagued by the typical rmt-bullshit you'll find in ANY online game these days.

I can't play all day because I have to work to pay for rent and food. Someone who doesn't have to do this (rich, welfare, student) has an advantage over someone who has to work. ;)

Path of Exile is designed around Trading, so its less/nearly not possible to obtain all items you whant yourself, you need to trade/craft for them.

If you want to have the best gear in the game in the least amount of time, you will resort to RMT, that's pretty easy to understand. But it is not p2w since it is not the developers that provide this service and it can get you banned.

P2W =/= RMT

They arent, you can create a shitload of chars and use them as stash, its not cool, but it works.

Tabs are a upgrade to make things easier, but after all, you wont need it to get everything what the game can offer.
