Is PoE Pay to win?

It's ok if you play one or maybe two characters, but soon enough your box is filled. Bigger stash is available for money, while you don't NEED it, everyone recommends it.

(if you like the game, you could support it with 10-20 dollars and buy stash-tabs)

if you´ve to grind for 2-5months to get one item for example because the droprates are so bad , you´re better off working one day 10€/hour wage job or whatever then buying it online then it´s by my definition pay2win.

If you have no steady way of acquiring that item besides buying from someone else via ingame or real life currency then it is pay2win.

see for example in Vindictus i couldve botted a whole night , or played for a month to get a weapon up to +8+9+10+++ whatever (incase ferghus didn´t break it) i needed mats for that , those mats were from some heroic bosses only , and they didn´t always drop but if you farm while asleep thats a different matter.

Some things in PoE are so grindy and luckridden that it opens a gate to pay2winning and invites all kinds of scumbags (d2jsp forumgoldwhores) ebaywarriors - various 3rd party site users which have botfarms farming as i write this in standart delivering you exalts and mirrors.

So yes PoE is by my definition pay2win.
Diablo2 was pay2win for example but here is the big but , if you wanted something you knew where to hunt for it.
in PoE ? good luck with that every mob has terrible droprates and there is no difference if you kill merc or palace dom.

Yall need to quit acting like im making shit up and stop mouthbreathing maybe face the reality while people are jumping ship besides desync and embrace the fact that this game is infested with creditcardwarriors.

Sure you can call farming 100hours a week not pay2win when you get a few €s worth of currency that you COULD buy in an instant.

For example Leauge of Legends is also pay2win to some extent.
It´s a free to play game.
You dont have anything at start you need all the runes , all the levels - champions you desire rune bundles - some sort of pay2winning as in pay2notgrind as much but still have to grind anyway.

Dota no real pay2win anything in the game from the getgo - cosmetics only.

Path of Exile no real pay2win anything in the game from the getgo - cosmetics only BUT if you had the mental capacity of an otter you´d realise by now that this is faaaaar away from the truth if you aim for "perfection".

It is one thing to reel players in by giving them false info , another is to completely deny the existence of bots 3rd party websites and terrible droprates (really bad looking at you exalts divines eternals)

It's not p2w at all, in fact it's anti-p2w lol. Everyone has a chance to win even in normal zones where even low level players can find exhalts (rare currency) and basic currency that holds it's value throughout the entire game. Along with races with rewards anyone can compete in.

As long as your expectations and standards are sound then you will have a blast playing here. If you're the type of player to overlook the viability of an item because your standard is an absolute best in slot item then you will be miserable and post nonsense like Kechop here.

People confuse P2W with RMT all the time. There is RMT, but you'll get banned if they catch you. P2W is when you have to pay the developers to progress in their game. You don't here. Nothing you pay will get you further in the game. The closest thing we have to P2W is the extra storage space, and that argument was put to rest a long time back. You'll probably want some storage space, and you'll have to pay a bit to get it. It's not P2W.
