Please bring map boss hp down
So, bosses too easy before and therefore boring.
Now bosses are fucking tanks with one-shot bullet-hell that take most (but not all builds) 'a lot' of time to take down, turning them into a boring slogs (and for the builds where it is still easy, there is basically no change from before). In both cases they drop shit, because "we don't want people farming bosses" or something related to that not-worthy-of-being-considered-design-law-but-fanboys-will-anyway statement. Well, hey, at least now more than just a minority of players find them boring and not worth it, so in a way, GGG is ACTUALLY trying to unite us! /Stockholm Syndrome |

There is zero incentive to kill bosses in maps anymore (after doing it once for atlas bonus).
I dont understand why GGG refuses to do incremental changes. Maybe a 20% boss life buff? Maybe just remove VP from ES leech? Why did they go full on retard with these changes is beyond me. |

My earlier post mentioned using my L94 Marauder with 8 Ascendancy points to time killing The Brittle Emperor. The result was:
"Is he dead yet?" Not hard, just incredibly tedious. So, after finally retooling my L90 Infractem/Poison character with 8 Ascendancy points (at a cost of a whole bunch of Regrets and 40 Prisms - thanks for that, btw, and when are you going to let us update our Infractems?), I thought I would check out how long it took this character to kill the Boss. Annoyingly long again, but there's one particular point I wish to make. At one point, The Brittle Emperor is just standing there not hitting anything. He's bleeding, he's burning, he has max poison stacks from a 6L filled mostly L20 Q20 gems, and he's still getting pelted by arrows. And he's *gaining* life? I was a little busy to notice if he had Consecrated Ground under him but as far as balance goes, what do you think happens to actual life gained per second if you have something which gives back a percentage of life and you have drastically increased the life of the Boss? |

" And how many days did it take YOU before you finally got past him? The initial speed rush was partly RNG-based. A LOT of HC runners, including streamers, RIP'd to A10 Kitava on Day 1. Top of the ladder suddenly had a lot of dead characters. Just because you managed to, eventually, worm your way around him on a trapper doesn't mean there's no problem at all. Boss drops have been better imo, and this patch is good for the game. The bosses actually feel like bosses, whaddya know. lol

It's okay everyone. I just switched to a raider wander and I'm fine now....almost. I still have to take portals out due to boss health despite some majorly sweet single target with barrage now.

Continuing my testing, I decided to try one of my non-nerfed EZ mode characters - JaclynTheWripper.
She's a level 90 Elementalist (hmm, sounds like a dating game show) with 8 Ascendancy points and a triple Herald Crit Split Arrow build using a 6L Windripper with mostly L20 Q20 gems. Damage is 55K when low and 64K when high (thanks to that Elementalist node which gives a 4 second damage boost). I decided to go into a Zana's Courtyard Map to test killing the Bosses because of the lack of affixes to improve the monsters. It took way longer than I would expect, or consider reasonable, for a basically normal T10 map. A character like this *should* annihilate them in a few seconds. Balancing around this type of character is a tad excessive. |

Did a blue factory map right after finishing storyline, it took multiple minutes to kill the boss with around 25k DPS, between the bloated HP, constant freezes and slows, teleports and ES regen. Note that this was a a blue t2 map without any real mods.
This isn't challenging or fun, it's annoying and dull. |
