Devs don't read this and it's your fault

So again you ran out of arguments.

You ignore that by your definition "fixing" a build is just buying gear so you don't risk dying. Avoiding a penalty has nothing to do with its severity. And not having the currency is not on the player's skill like you make it out to be.

You further ignore the time aspect of losing way more than 1-2 hours. You simply haven't argued on behalf of that aside from "that's what it's always been".

Darling, your lack of knowledge of "How to fix" something is in the end not my problem and I frankly have no reason to present you solutions for something you actually don't want help with, so... I ignore you from now on.
Guys, this discussion is not going anywhere '-'

This is so embarassing - you're basically proving your illiteracy. Shouldn't have tried another conversation.

I have explained in detail what stopped me from killing a certain boss and how I overcame it. If you can't read, that's not my fault.

You also fail to realize that buying gear so you can't die isn't the solution to a boss fight - even the devs don't think that.

Or people saying XP penalty is too much and don't even know what an Omen of Amelioration is (or worse, thinking it's something u buy from the store for real money when u bring it to the table, true story)

Most people play after work and don't have 200 exalted to pay for this item which is used only ONCE.. why do you even bring this up just to make yourself look smart? lol

How much exalted I should have spent for my 450 deaths?

U telling me at lvl 90+ u die 450 times and cannot farm a measly 200 exalts? (it's way less than that now btw)

And the game is the problem?

(I also play after work bro)

Just gonna re-state this here because this is active gaslighting.

I drop nearly a div a day with 0 rarity on gear running randomly alched t15s.

If you're past lvl 90 and cannot afford an Omen of Amelioration you're doing kind of EVERYTHING wrong. If you're dying every two maps at that lvl you're definitely doing everything wrong.

You're not supposed to level up if you're not even able to sustain yourself in maps. The game has the tools to do so even in mediocre builds.

You're losing time because you're losing at the game. Just like when you lose in any other game.
I've yet to see a successful game that rewards you for losing.

If you're dying in random maps and thinking the game is at fault how do u even think you're going to fare against the pinnacle bosses? Are you even able to kill one of them without scumming the atlas passives?

The more I read these "arguments" against xp loss the more I'm convinced they come from people that both lack experience and lack the proactivity to learn and surpass said lack of experience.

You're quoting me but who tf are you talking to? I have a 95 and a 93 and could drown you in t15s.

Why do you ignorant guys always assume that critics of the game are just too bad at it? Find some actual arguments ffs.

Irrelevant what your characters are, I was pointing specifically at gaslighting that not having the currency for an omen or for mid gear that's more than enough for mapping is not tied to lack of skill.

It most definitely is, and it's also tied to lazyness. T15 mapping is easy for the most honest budget builds out there and if you're at that level you must be well familiar with the droprate of currency in ez maps with no rarity on gear.

If you could do it, so can the rest.
I'm a dev, not for GGG.

We generally do not talk to users. You think gamers are smarter or dumber than enterprise users?

When I worked for a smaller company, I had a user literally argue with me how the software works...when I was the one who built everything on it, and knew it in and out. The entire office heard her and some were face palming.

Gamers can be significantly worse, and more entitled, especially the ones who clearly haven't grown up.

Same shit on forums. It's some poor soul's job (might be AI now tbh) to come here and aggregate the whine into something less frustrating to read/deal with.

If any dev had to actively read and go through forum posts, they would off themselves. I am not kidding. 40 hours a week, 40+ weeks of this shit, having to swim through the most toxic shit possible, with maybe a few rainbows there, would rob anyone's soul.

Just read through these boards and think about having to skim this trash into something actually actionable. Jesus, the poor soul who does this.

You do sound like the typical modern labor guy who bites the hand that feeds due to frustration of not being worshiped by paid customers . Out of curiosity where do you work ? I don't like to financially support this BS .

"poor soul" lmao
Sean Murray did just that for months while he was receiving daily death treats , and that was after his studio had been destroyed by a flood too . Having professional integrity / backbone does seems to be a rare perk nowadays .

Oh I'm enjoying your response because you don't have a choice, if you ever get cancer or a major health issue where the meds cost $1,000+ a pop.

You are proving my point. No one should have to deal with this trash. (Also Sean Murray fucked up by overpromising and under-delivering; but this goes into why devs should generally not be in marketing and isn't related to this.)

I never went into game dev because of people exactly like you.

Rest assured, the hatred and disgust is mutual.
