I am just trolling :p I played 10 days on SSF. I found out I enjoyed it very much, but I never found the armours I wanted... Carcass Jack or Eternity Shroud. Figured I would waste some fusings :p

Oh, for the people saying that you need to find Aul for the 6L recipe: it's actually just that type of biome you need to find, not the actual boss. Still needs RNG, but it's not nearly as bad as if it were Aul.

Though personally I've never used the creating recipe.
I've never had a 6l from just using fusing orbs in a league outside of standard, and even in standard, it was on a 28% qual armor with a ridiculous amount of fusings to throw at it (acquired over multiple leagues).

What frustrates me is the changes they made to the 6L recipe. Before, I just had to grind vorici daily then when he was at the correct level, I'd have to grind 1500 fusings. Ever since they buried the 6L recipe in the darkest depths of hell, I've only managed 5L (one character I was even doomed to 4L).

Now what is the recipe method gated behind?
- Getting sulphurite to fuel:
- Delving a few hundred depths to even get a certain type of biome to show
- RNG CHANCE somewhat comparable to just using fusings in the first place for said biome to even show up (I've NEVER seen aul's biome).
- Once you've done that you THEN have to do the 1500 fusing grind ANYWAY.

So now the only two ways you can get it are:
Fusing Grind + RNG (for 6l to happen)
Fusing Grind + Sulphurite Grind + Mine Grind + RNG (for the biome to show)

At least before you had the choice of Grind OR RNG, but now you have the choice of RNG or RNG AND Heavier Grind to boot. It just doesn't make sense.

It was more enjoyable before because the grind method, while grindy it meant that I had the OPPORTUNITY to eventually make it without being shafted by RNG. I had the *choice* to play the way I wanted to play.

Now? Now I am shafted by RNG no matter what method I choose, it just don't make sense chief.

People who use the 1500 fusing recipe and then complain they never get it by the usual method are really bad at math. That's ok... I make my living making people who are bad at math better at it.
RNG is RNG. You could get it in 1 fusing but if you're like me, you spend around 4000 fusings before you get a 6L (which is what actually happened for the only 6L I got that way). Maths doesn't even enter into it; you can scream about how much odds you're gonna have till you're blue in the face but it doesn't change the fact that even if there were a 99.99999% chance of getting a 6L, someone statistically still has the chance of being that guy that rolls the <0.000001% every time (it's not likely, but that's the nature of RNG).

I'd rather have the ****choice**** to inefficiently guarantee a 6L rather than be at the mercy of luck but as of now, making a 6L is gated behind luck no matter what method you use; that's the point I'm making. I couldn't care less if it costs me 100,000 fusings, just as long as I can eventually guarantee it without being shafted by luck.

The *option* to guarantee vs RNG has been taken away. You now only have two methods of RNG, and while it's always been the case that rolling manually with raw currency is likely to cost you less (zomg maffs!) the sheer *option* to get it without any RNG element has been taken away to such a point that going for the recipe is NOT an option. As far as I'm concerned, the recipe has been deleted from the game.
Has nothing to do with "being like you". Everyone has the same chance. On the outside, you're going to spend less than 1500 on each 6L over time. The only time it would make sense to use the 1500 recipe is when you HAVE to 6L something... which is never.
