Why is it so hard to 6 link? Why is the probability so low?

You can get 6-L with Tabula or certain divination cards, if that's really needed for your build.
And if you need 6-L AND unique or GG item - well, it just mean you want a quite expensive build, right?

I don't think that is necessarily the case. 6L aren't expensive because of a build. It's expensive because of probability, on stat'ed items (non-tabula).

And many, me included, can do fine without it. But the 6L stat item, for any build, is a pretty big survivability upgrade. And for most builds, this is the survivability you need to function well defensively in T15.

But I will say this. The way the game was designed, 6L stat chests were just designed to be gotten last. There's much better, and much cheaper alternatives, that give raw power, when you can just use tabula rasa, that will also enable you to progress into T15.

One good example is the shaper ring + elder ring combo for the damage bonus, with a warlords mark on hit, will run you 120c or so, but will give you life and mana leech + insane dmg upgrade with unique bonus vs upgrading from Tabula to a 6L with stats for 4+ex vs 120 chaos for the 2 rings.

Expensive because GGG makes it "expensive". It's more like limiting viable options to most players, and making unique chests pretty much useless/unplayable for the common player. Not because they are "Unique" but because of this silly 6L gatting/rng you are better off ignoring the body armour stats.

Good rares (like those 900k+ ES chests, or various shaper/elder bases that act as 8-link, also require 6-linking with Orbs of Fusing.

Yes, endgame state of gear is hard to obtain, be it good rolls or 6-link. In fact, i'd like to have possibility of 6-link on ALL gear slots. It's not fair, that helm/gloves/boots/1-h weapons/shield can be FULLY linked with mere several fusings...
If you obtain endgame gear too easily, it's not right. The only thing that frustrates me with 6-linking, is that we dont have Vorici anymore, to get a guaranteed 6-link when we need it. It was a REALLY great idea - to be able to pay a slight extra to get a guaranteed 6-link without pulling the slot machine.

And not that 5-link isnt viable. A bit weaker, yes, but still viable.

Just spam threads to make GGG put the 6L recipe earlier and a less rare environment in Delve...

1500 fusings is a lot to farm, already a challenge. The second layer of RNG is jut stupid.

RNG sucks... Betrayal league I 6L 10 itens with less than 1.5k fusings. This league I spent over 3k fusings and only 6L 2 itens...

But I intend to play builds that don't need a 6L, so I'm suspicious.

Ye, that's how they roll though, right. Multiple layers of rng, sometimes for even simple stuff :/ Imo the multimod and 6L one are in STUPID locations. Want the truth GGG? Ok, it's not clever game design, it doesn't make me "explore" content Ive never done (have never done pale council, proph chains are garbage, didn't do it in proph, don't do it now ... Was garbo back then, still is now). It just frustrates people who try to do things themselves (have never, and will never hand gear over to have it crafted).

You know, I have been playing this whole league, and i have 3 lvl 90+ chars, still don't have a certain craft unlocked to T3, that Ive been trying to farm since the start of th league, as F'ing It that Fled just have been a no show in pretty much all my syndicate content encounters. In fact, in the whole time, only saw twice iirc. GG GGG.

Semi on topic, I've been lucky with 6Ls for the most part, worst I ever had was damn windripper that chewed 38xx fuse. Its fine though, I dribbled that amount in over the course of a league, not all in one shot. As "required" 6L, I generally buy a white 6L, roll it, and then just pour found fuses jnto the "real" chest. 6Ld a windripper in 8xx, a shaves in 237 and a loreweave in 87 (all for self use I might add) this league. Mind, I likely still going to finish early as the crafting thing, unlocking via certain item via a certain syndicate clown, THAT NEVER SHOWNS UP is kinda getting on my nevrves now... Also, if this sort of multilayered bullshit rng design keeps happening, to the point where I can't even craft my own shit, might be time to move on entirely, as it's more frustrating that fun these days with gearing. Sure, the super strimmer boi no lifer will cry power leap, but for the average pleb with a full time job (remember GGG... the bulk of the users, ye?)... No. Just no.

I think they nerfed the rate, I'm so many fuse into a 34% qual chest it's pathetic

This is why I like 5 link - 6 socket functioning body chests and the Dancing Dervish/Duo.

You can get an end-game build for less. Of course this is the first time I ever did a Dancing Duo build this league but... It really seems less cost intensive.
