I played this game for years and I never even tried to 6 link an item.

It is easy. You get it from cards, buy with currency, if your not lucky to fuse it in 500 fusings, just move on :). GO farm Oni Goroshi @Charans sword like i did and get 6-link and build around it :P.

6 linking is not difficult to do with ~3000 fusings. You can get that many by spamming high tier content, npc'ing 6 socket items, and then trading jewellers for fuses at a npc. If you arent doing ssf, trading or the recipe are even better. If you don't play enough to get 3k fusings and you are ssf, try farming humility or go for another of the guaranteed 6 link items. Remember, 6 link is only 30~50% more damage. It's usually better to have a 5 link BIS chest than a 6 link w/e.

Is it currently too hard to rng 6 link a single item for a new player strapped for currency? Yes.

However, if they did increase the odds of getting a 6 link items to the level that even a new player can make one, every crafting base and unique item in the game would skyrocket in price in trade league. Suddenly a Starforge is basically auto 6 linked from a veteran's point of view and is worth the value of one.

So, the bottom line is, supply vs demand will always give new players an uphill battle in trade league and you should not try to make a gg 6 link build in ssf unless you are prepared to grind for it.

I never understood the entire "make everything a korean grinder" mentality when it comes to the fun stuff. Being able to 6 link an item shouldn't become a second job to do.

The misconseption is that you need a 6 link to make a build work. This is just flat out wrong. People keep talking like getting a 6 link on every character is a human right or something.

Don't spend all your currency on gambling for a 6L. As good as all content is perfectly doable on a 5L. Even Aul. There are a lot of gear upgrades you should do before getting the 6th link.

However if you just cannot wait you can buy a corrupted 6L with the correct colors for almost nothing these days.

Burnt tru 2ex of fusings without 6linking my chest. Sold it in the end and bought a 6l.

4yrs of poe and I've only 6l like 2 items. Imo, if u dun wan to be limited by rng, buy a 6l. Of Cox if u wan to save on currencies, u may end up spending more. Rng is rng

Players are used to these ARPGs being designed as gear checks. Your ability really doesn't play much of a role. Here, ability to play is important.

So "bad" or inexperienced players feel they need 6L. You don't. You need to practice and learn how to control your character.

The amount of people that complain about needing a 6 link to do endgame stuff is pathetic at this point...

If you need a 6 link to do endgame it's either that your build sucks without investing 20 ex in it, which is idiotic to start a league with, or you just don't know the game enough to be able to get a 6 link for cheap.

Either way, your knowledge of the game is bad, which should be your end goal with PoE. It's not about the 6 links, but the knowledge. Which is why POE is fun and rewarding, because you can always find a way to work around RNG, even in SSF.

You can literally kill Uber Elder with a 4 link with some builds (yes Necro i'm looking at you), without sinking 25 ex into it.

And for the people complaining that there is too much RNG, play Diablo. Get your set in 2 days and you will see why getting everything straight away is very bad design.
