Logout-macros, Logging out needs to go

rule says you can have a max of two instances of the game running at once

Not at all. Unless you can prove that, it's just rumor. Chris mentioned multi-boxing is fine, so long as it's not automated. The game client itself might limit instances, but you can virtual box or run multiple computers and it's allowed.

Destructoid: Is multiboxing allowed? Is that an issue in games? I've seen a lot of people doing that with WoW and other games, is that something people try to avoid?

Chris Wilson: Our current stance on multiboxing is you're welcome to run multiple clients on the same machine, but you should be playing each one, and if you're using tools to proxy your input between them and stuff like that, then that's an unfair advantage. So if it's exactly the same as walking between six computers and you move the mouse at each one and you control the character, that's no problem at all. But as soon as you're running cheating programs to make it so you're effectively running one guy with the power of six, then that's a problem.

I read this https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1wkyy3/discussion_ggg_can_we_get_some_transparency/cf31wrz/

and apparently the rule is 2 per computer
I dont see any any key!
logout macros are fairly offensive but they don't change a great deal, its more like a shortcut to portal dip more than anything, if your an experienced HC player you pretty much know whats likely to kill you at any given moment and you'll be so used to dealing with whatever it is that it doesn't really require any input, the things that are truly threatening just wipe you out faster than a key press anyway.

For example I was playing a fire nova miner last league doing atziri runs and I somehow managed to kill the melee and leave pierce rain demon up and she two shot me, i'd done like 15 runs on that character and by and large its a mistake that was a bit of a freak but logout macro or not I was dead soon as i killed them in the wrong order.

A note on the strands thing too I personally think its dumb that people chain run strand but its absolutely understandable, if your pushing for 100 you just want the fastest xp/min, it just so happens that strands layout, tier and mob types make it extremely easy to run. Before you could spam strands everyone spammed gorge for exactly the same reason. The linearity and mob types make it safe, if they genuinely want to do something about strand they need to actually sit down and buff the dumb layout maps, non linears should have way higher pack density or some kind of reward associated with them or it'll always be path of least resistance.
instant logout have to stay because of server problems. D3 hc is literally unplayable
my solution:
just remove a portal when you logout in a map
or all your portals:P

If you read that carefully, it's really repeating what Chris already said and what I quoted. The 2 limit is by the client. So no, it's not 2 per computer, it's 2 per operating system. You could run PoE twice on your install of Windows/whatever, then use a virtual PC to run another 2. There is no "rule" that states 2 per computer, only 2 per operating system.

Is anything above even worth mentioning? You will sooner get banned for running 3 instances than running 2 bots, this is just fucking sad.
are people who want logout timers ok with portaling out? because if logout has a timer and TP is instant as long as you drop it and enter it, then people will just use portals.

and if you forbid portaling out before 10 secs or something, you kinda open a new can of worms there.

This should be the sole purpose of portals... The fact is it's easier to macro alt-F4 than it is to open a portal and click on it

the macro isnt for alt+f4...the macro is for spoofing a RST packet to the server, telling it to reset connection NOW. alt+f4 closes the client but doesnt tell the server, which has a disconnect detection mechanism that actually has a timer.
