Logout-macros, Logging out needs to go

When someone's at your door or cat broke a pot, you TP out. It's also safer.

But I'm fairly sure you don't logout when it happens, but when you are about to die as you did something stupid or shit just hit the fan.

That's not what hardcore is supposed to be.

why would you keep a cat that breaks stuff...

I dont see any any key!

They already do that. HC players, that dont want to risk dying and dont mind get bored, run Strands 24/7, without any significant risk. They get level 100, but never see anything challenging, and if a sudden Abaxoth (or something) spawns in their beloved Strand, they just run like chickens, using insta-logout.

There is a significant difference between "playing the game" and "trying to get to 100" in hardcore. Which you'd know if you as much as touched hardcore before.

If everyone would play like you say they do, noone would die in hardcore period. And that is what is going to happen if you remove instant logout.

Bullshit! Atziri is purely mechanical fight. If you position yourself properly, you kill her without any risk of dying. If you die to her, it's because you made some mistake. That's what HARDCORE is meant to be about - mistakes are unforgiveable, if you do mistakes, your character goes to softcore. If you dont like that - play SOFTCORE! There, mistakes are relatively forgiveable, so you can try hard content over and over with only minor losses (such as experience and entrance costs).

Again, your insight into what constitutes hardcore or not as a player who doesnt have the first idea because they never even tried it is a major issue in your argument here.

Players who farm uber/shaper do it with a build that they can recuperate with a few runs, should they die. And players die on those runs. That is a given. Logout macro is not a cure-all, which you'd know, had you tried. And especially Uber is a gamble, you can get instagibbed with bad RNG on many ocasions.

If HC player overestimates himself, he deserves to lose his character. And he should accept that, if he's a hardcore player indeed. If he doesnt accept that fact, he should play softcore!
Hardcore isnt meant for most players. I think, only a very few minority of players can accept VERY harsh hardcore rules.

However, there is a thing you still cant understand. In hardcore, you should be punished my your mistakes, but you shouldnt be punished just because of RNG. ATM, because of insta-logouts and overpowered HP sustain (such as instant leech, etc.),

I bet, many truly hardcore players from other games will just uninstall PoE after they watch few HC streamers, showcasing "the way it's meant to be played" (abusing insta-logout).

I am still baffled why you care. Do you want all those "truly hardcore players" from other games to come over and spread even more elitism? Are you doing this as some kind of misguided effort to make the game easier for you? Because that is going to happen if insta-logouts would be removed, down the line. Or is it because when people dub themselves "hardcore" players, and it hurts your ego, you need to come up with reasons why those people are not really "hardcore".

That said, i really cant be bothered to find out. Armchair "hardcore" players like you are good for a chuckle, at least.

These vile monsters are like that :/

Luckily, you can stay safe just letting them break stuff at times.

And why do people care? I just don't understand how anyone using log out macro affects your poe experience in any shape or form. I don't play HC, and I don't care how others play HC.

Maybe someone here can enlighten me as to how exactly logging out does anything bad to others?
Best part is that people don't even realise that memory reading is not bannable simply coz ggg cant see it thus most of these are auto logouts when below x% of hp/surrounded by y ammount of mobs.

Mostly leaderboard climbing, actually. I wonder how many would be dead if they couldn't cheap their way out of it

It's also no problem you have no standards for challenges in gaming, doesn't mean nobody else does. PoE's already forgiving by not outright deleting your HC character like any other ARPG with a hardcore mode
GGG must be afraid that if they ban logout macros/chicken scripts, then their HC leagues would die off much faster.
