I don't want to spend skill points :l
" Even IF you fully understand your class - which is impossible after a 1,5Gb Patch - it's stil BETA. After 3 months, there will be so many changes due to patches that your first chars WILL suck and you have to begin all over again and again and again. Bad game design from my point of view, I'm saving my skill points too because the actual system is totally annoying - even D2 had respects with 1.12 or 1.13 and it was fine, don't know why they didn't used that system, it was perfect. I just started open beta, and, to be honest, I actually like that there's no full respect and the huge tree. I'm going in 95% blind on this game, all I've read are the basic mechanics and glanced over the tree viewer just to see how big it actually was.
I fully expect to break my first character, but hopefully the game will be fun enough to start a new one. |

" Typically if significant changes are made to the passives, a full respec is offered the same patch. No idea if this will hold true in OB as well, but I would think so. The assumption that they might nerf something and your build will suck/be ruined did not hold true in the CB. |

I have had multitude of characters, deleted heaps. learnt a lot on the way
You can easily get orbs of regret (if you play and exchange currencies at the act3 shop) and then respec a huge chunk of your build, doesnt mean you will get that right either lol, made a few mistakes myself reallocating It's fun You can test as many characters as you like, just delete ones you dont want any more, you will still have your stash and make play even easier for the new char Anyone who saves all their skill points has no idea how the game works Dernière édition par Freewendy#6539, le 24 janv. 2013 à 13:24:25

" I said this earlier... It's like people are willingly unaware/ignorant of this. It's basically a FREE tool to build your characters AS YOU CHOOSE before actually spending the time playing them to get those points. I don't see anything but positive gains on this. |

" Not to mention that now that there are officially no more wipes, GGG will be a lot more careful with introducing big sweeping changes to the skill tree. Chances are, the skill tree will stay the way it is for a long time. I think you people who don't want to spend your skill points should really lighten up a little and get rid of your self-inhibitions. Yes, your first character will probably be screwed up, but that is to be expected. The fun of the game comes when you learn from your mistakes, overcome them, and earn the right to be called a hardcore gamer. Relevant:

" Exactly. If you're saving your skill points you have little to no idea how the game works. That's why you're saving them. You're saving because you're scared of messing up in a vast and overwhelming network of options, and having those early mistakes be nearly irreversible since the rest of your build is reliant on that early foundation. You shouldn't have to be scared of using your skill points early on. You should be encouraged to spend them. I know that's not what you meant, but that same sentence can also be used to define my point. |

After playing for so long sometimes I wish the skilltree was bigger, you'll get used to it

" Dude. The header on this website should contain this quote. Seriously. This game is NOT for the spoon-fed gamer. This is a game for hardcore gamers BY hardcore gamers. I'm going to stop short of saying "if you don't like it, leave" because I would like to see a higher population of hardcore gamers join our ranks... But, all in all, my recommendation for these people is to actually play D3 for a while and get used to the ARPG genre. Then transition to D3's hardcore (one death) mode, and beat the upper difficulties. THEN play this game. You'll appreciate it a lot more. And if you're satisfied with your D3 experience, then that's cool too. This game does not cater to you. |

" There's a passive skill tree tool on the site you can plan your builds with. |
