Enough With the D3 vs PoE Beta

I was already acustomed with the d3 hate around here but seeing moderators join the bashing wagon surprised me.
From what I thought moderators should be impartial but this is not only unprofessional its plain silly.

Professional it is not.
But it's not like they get paid for moderating, so they are just helping out GGG as normal customers.
If they did work for GGG, it would be unacceptable.

Moderators are people too, with feelings and opinions. Just because they're forum moderators shouldn't prevent them from expressing them.

What moderators do you see bashing the game in this thread? I assume you're talking about Zeto. He's done nothing but explain in eloquent detail why he views some things in D3 to be undesirable. That's not "bashing" the game. It's simply making a commentary.

Bashing the game is using baseless, inaccurate, exaggerated, or overly harsh words without good reason. For example, saying "D3 is a flaming piece of **** and it will fail because it sucks," would be bashing. Saying "I feel that the new directions in which Blizzard took D3's graphical style and character building mechanics are detrimental to my enjoyment of the game," isn't bashing.

The mods are being very generous IMO. I would have banned all the Blizzard shills by now.

Right, I don't know why I even bother posting here. Everyone is so closed minded its depressing.
I tried to follow this game which has a lot of potential but the community brings it down with this senseless hate and bashing. I can't understand where is the logic in sabotaging the image of your own favourite game.

The fact that people are allowed to voice their opinions here is a vast improvement over the state of many other game forums. Other forums will delete posts and ban members for even speaking about other games, be it good or bad talk.

You think it's hardcore to spend tedious hours creating a new character? Anyone can do that, and anyone can look up a good build.

As for the PvP system, it's going to be the same as in D2, but much more improved, while keeping the fun factor.

You have a weird definition of the term 'hardcore'.

D3 will not have any pvp at launch. This doesn't seem too harcore. D3 will no offer actual/world pvp, just arenas, again not too hardcore.

I did not sabotage the image of Diablo. Activision/Blizzard did this when they scrapped the real D3 project in 2005 and went with their 'new direction'.

You only view it as 'hate' and 'bashing' because we do not share your outlook on the game.

That's the kind of leeniency you can afford on a small forum, though. Once it gets bigger, leeniency becomes nothing but an illusion.
