Enough With the D3 vs PoE Beta

So sorry, but I fail to understand your point.

YOu think they are not in competition, i do think so.
That's fine for me i don't want to force you to accept what i'am thinkg, even if it is obviously correct.
Howeder what i won't accept is someone like you telling me what i can discuss and what i can't.
This forum is for Beta general chat.. general chat about the beta. I am moving this to general chat.
"the premier Action RPG for hardcore gamers."

Happy hunting/fishing
It may be worth noting that many players will probably stick around here because they'll be able to PvP in PoE before D3 :P

First in the credits!
As for the comparison I feel the two games are moving in completely different directions towards two vastly different gaming crowds while sure they share a good amount of overlap they maintain distinct differences on the grounds of casual vs hardcore gaming, pvm vs pvp, too easy vs I have no clue what's going on here but it's hard.
Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat Server Test, and Winner of the First Ever Cut-Throat League Event!
I think there is competition.
But maybe it's because we make it that way?
'We' as in the gaming community in general, not POE player specifically.
I see posts on D3 videos completely debunking D3 saying POE better in every sense and that anyone who doesn't agree are idiots (funnily enough how i came across POE).
Same goes for a lot of POE related things, people expressing how POE sucks and D3 is better.
But i don't see why there is the competition?
They're, in my mind, in two different fields.
The only comparison to me is the similar genre. People will play D3 and POE for different things.
It's possible that when D3 is released the amount of Beta Members playing may drop but i can hardly see how that will effect POE's reputation or those people's opinions on it. Fanboys of either should be looking at things a bit more open minded.
Just play the games and enjoy the shit.

D3 and PoE are two different games.

D3 is based on player skills, and PoE on player intellect.

*sigh* seriously?...
I'd say player knowledge for sure, but intellect?

yeah... keep thinking like that boys...

0.4: added "ignore" button. ignore list is now saved locally.
Anyone else find it ironic that the OP created a new thread complaining about all the threads comparing D3 to PoE that will almost assuredly become another thread dedicated to comparing D3 to PoE? ;)

Battle Realms was an amazing game. It wasn't noticed to nearly the level it should have been due in large part to the hype about (the inferior IMO) Age of Empires. The same happens with movies.

The negativity around Acti-Bliz is what led me to this game, however. I'd think it a mistake for both games to launch at the same time, but I think this game could still do really well if launched, say, a few months after D3. The word needs to get out, though. People on Diablo groups need to talk about it. Speaking of which, I'll make a few YouTube posts...

People tend to do this when two awesome similar games are getting near the release.

It's kinda sad to compare both games, when you could just extract the pros/cons from them and enjoy an awesome feeling instead.

My 2 cents.

D3 and PoE are in direct competition.

No, just because they are similar does not mean that they have to fight each other until one remains.

Games don't work like that,

Tell that to Blizzard who's owned 85% + of the MMO market since World of warcraft became popular about a year into it's release.

They are in direct competition with each other simply because path of exile is very similar to diablo 2, but just better graphics, gameplay and features.

I'll be playing both D3 and PoE, and I'll be telling everyone about PoE.
