Enough With the D3 vs PoE Beta

This will never exist.
It isn't WoW where you have a guild that's pressuring you to do a specific thing.

you sure about that?

because that sort of chat was generally 80% of tradechat in the cities.... and don't even get me started about barrens chat =P

the way I see it, any online game that has any form of competition coupled with the ability to globally chat, will always invariably have a certain percentage of elitist heroes.

I can see it now...

I can see the in game chats already: OMG, NUB, you know you should use skills XYZ for this Act, not the one you use now, that is only good in Act 23..NUB!! Change Zkills!

lol, and you think someone will listen? It's not WoW or Diablo 2, where your build will be criticized, because you suppose to do more damage or tank. If someone write "Ultimate guide to D3 classes", then it's attention craving bitch.

I don't want to troll, I think PoE looks promising (even thou I was not interested at all few weeks ago), but for me each marauder in PoE looks exactly the same. I didn't play at all, but passive skills maybe makes difference, but you sure don't see it with your naked eye. At least not me.
...This thread is starting to hurt again.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Yes, in WoW. That's what I said.
There might be a few trolls, like in any game, but it won't become a 'thing'.

Also it's worth to note:

You don't actually know what effects enemies are going to have in advance, so there's no such thing as a specific build for a specific area.

in a game with random maps with random events and random affixes in champion/rare monsters if someone makes a skills guide is stupid, imagine those that will read it!
i had a quick look at D3 and after seeing thier is no 'real hardcore' pvp and the instances only support 4 players i decided to stick with PoE.

I may try D3 in the future but for me it will be a waste of little time i currently have to play games.

I used to play a game called Myth Of Soma and ive been looking for a game simmilar to that for a long time now and although that was an MMO this game seems the most similar :).

The only things i would prefer this game had was:

more players per instance in pvp world.
No randomly created maps.
Takes longer to level.

No randomly created maps?
It seems ARPG is not a genre for you my friend.

would you care to explain why?

the game has four difficulties meaning you get to play through the game four times.

mobs could just respawn after a set period? afterall if you clear an area and dissapear for a while its only natural it would repopulate with inquisitive animals/people etc.

maps could them become available and be used as a money sink as such.

maybe i will get used to the randomly generated maps, just a seems a little strange and unrealistic.

Also the devs could use the random map generator to create several maps placed together to create longer journeys or quests to new places. i think a fun part is setting off with freinds choosing your gear sensibly for what could be along hard journey towards the next town or place of interest :)

It's designed to create a differerent experience each time you go in.
It's not fun at all to have a system where you're like 'Oh, look, there's that monster pack in the exact same position it was the last 20 times' etc.
Randomisation makes replaying a certain area much more interesting, after all, ARPGs are all about replaying.

I guess you are new to the ARPG genre?
Every (decent) ARPG known to man has randomised maps.

(Not to mension randomised maps help protect against bots)
