Did anyone else think when Dominus said:
" He is speaking of the Seeker of Truth series of Novels. Darken Raal was the primary antagonist up through book 2. However Darken did not see himself as a villain but rather a Hero Saving the rest of the world from anarchy and disorder. He was also hunting a specific mage that he believed was a criminal that killed his father and scarred him pretty badly |

As you kill one of mervails daughters as a scion she notes that it spoke to her before dying and was a little girl trapped inside a monster. the scion constantly makes references that amount to the world being something other than what it appears.

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy? |
|
|
The Scion also also commentates that the Great White Beast was a man
When killing Kudaku she says she felt the moment when this sick creature gave up it's twisted grasp on life. I think she's simply phychotic. A scion may be born of the rich, and as such hold more opportunity...
but a scion will never be able to appreciate the finer beauty of those less fortunate. |

Lore is usually (99% of the time) the thing I enjoy the most in any game, but when it comes to Path of Exile I really feel like GGG has done a bad job of presenting the lore in a clear manner, I simply don't understand what's going on.
What I understand is that the Exile (the player character) is for some reason exiled from Theopolis(?), but what is Piety, Dominus and the other people (Templars?) doing in Wraelcrast? Can someone explain lol. |

What if the Scion is actually still on Oriath but is imagining the city as Wraeclast and the citizens as monsters? She then goes on a mass murdering spree on children and adults alike believing herself to be killing monsters.
PoE: M. Night Shyamalan Edition |
|
" From what I understand, the various exiles were so treated due to various "crimes" commited, while Piety uses wraeclast as an experimental labratory while seeking greater thaumaturgical power. Dominus however is interested in the left over powers of the Eternal Empire as well as the VAAL. Both of them are doing things forbidden in Oriath that would result in worse than just exile. |
|
" And those experiments they're doing, or the power they're searching for, is for the worse of the inhabitants of Wraelcrast, which is the motivation for our player character to go after them? Okay, got it. |
|
|
Dominus is just breaking the fourth wall, telling the Exile he's being controlled by an invisible puppeteer by use of a device called "a mouse".
Arbitrary placeholder decisions should never be embraced as final.

Maybe are we punished ?
