No, that's a fault with the term reality being assigned. As you pointed out yourself, it was their perception of reality, not reality itself. However they (the people within The Matrix) would have defined it as "Reality." Ergo, "reality is an illusion" would be a sensible statement to say to someone, basically meaning "what you and others perceive as reality is an illusion."

The implication is that the reality the speaker is referring to is the perceived reality of the listener/the "reality" around the speaker and listener. Certainly adding "this" or "your" would have been more grammatically correct, however the sentence isn't inherently meaningless or a paradox.

I think this world is an illusion because he's STILL the final boss and we're just now waking up. This isn't the last we'll see of him.

ACT IV

The exiles head into the underworld following a trail left behind by the enigmatic captain fairgraves.

Alternatively heading into the heart of Wraeclast to the center of the cataclysm. what we are actually seeing are the remnants of the fringe effects of the cataclysm.

Another would be delving into the reasons behind the Karui fall and the dark shadow that plagued their dreams, or perhaps that will be ACT V

I think he is just imposing his believes on the exile at that moment.

I am assuming some old vaal entity is still alive in wreaclast and controlling dominus. Making him believe in illusions in order to sacrifice himself for the cause. Pretty sure act4 is gonna be epicly gore and filled with the vaal society knowledge :p.

I am hoping some portal to the past of wraeclast gets opened, so we meet the young lady delaila, and see the forest encampment and sarn in older times,controlled by the past vaal society.

I think it would also be good for GGG since they could re use a lot of what is already ingame and put a new skin over it :).

But i have to admit, it's imo one of the more stupid things he said.

What I find interesting is what the Scion say when you start the game. She say something about Dominus giving her a new life. I wonder what this means?
