20% gems were overpriced and too rare now they wont be as rare or overpriced

also i dunno about you but i simply dont have enough free tim eot level to the "upper mid 80s"
maybe you have 10 chars at that level but i sure as hell dont

those that do are rich anyway and would stay rich without this

this really does nothing except help the community

I've been playing since closed beta and my highest character is level 69 with level 15-17 gems. This new recipe isn't going to affect my current characters at all but I think I will start levelling some gems in my other weapon slot for future builds I'd like to make. Other than that, I don't think I'm going to use this new recipe.

It means that in the normal process of making one build, you can end up with 6 20% quality level 1 gems ready to go for your next build. You seem to be looking at it from a very short term perspective.

well depends how much they play... some say they can lvl to lvl17-18 in one day

so if hey have 6 gems... lets say it takes them 6 days to get all of them to 20... that's one lvl20/day

if they play 70+ hours a week they are gonna be rich anyway
this isnt gonna suddenly sink the economy
if anything all the non 70+ hour a week players should be happy now you can more readily acquire level 20 gems for a cheaper price
so the top 5% of the player base wont be the only ones with 20% gems

Interesting and well-designed recipe.

A dev mentioned awhile back that at least one recipe hadnt been found... wonder if this was the one referred to?

Anyway, seems i have some gems to vendor!

No. Just 2 scroll fragments.

This reminds me of d3 all over again, it makes sense now why the majority of the community is why it is, it is composed on no lifers, that have all the wealth, they want to keep it that way it seems.


I can only see this as a good thing, go forbid you get rewarded for actually playing the game. The trade chat junkies are just as bad as the d3 auction house tycoons.
