Permanent Loot Allocation ... for .. why?

I am actually shocked by how little you people know about ninja looting eventhough you constantly use the term.

You talk much how others don't know how looting works and yet you fail to mention the fact that "clowns" can stand on your loot and practically prevent you from looting it, you click and click on the loot and nothing happens. But hey it's my own incompetence and I deserve that according to you-

You "still" have the option not to use it, if you can't cope with that then cry me a river.

I really don't see a problem. I create groups all the time, under different loot rule sets and people always join, always. So, in conclusion, if you want to make FFA parties, no one is stopping you; there is certainly no one stopping me and my FFA parties have been successfully full. Likewise my permanent allocation parties have also been successful. The options are a win-win; complaining about diversity is just silly and futile.

Have a nice day. :)

I would like to point off that most public parties still run FFA or Short allocation.

No they don't.

It was obvious that as soon as this kind of option is available 90% of the groups will us it, and if you ask me that simply isnt a good sign.

Good or bad, 90% of people want to use it which is a sign of something. They like it, I guess.

First, wanting to use something and using it are two entirely different things. Second, not everything that people want to do is always good for either them or the humanity at large.

I was pretty sceptical when I first saw the new options GGG added to the loot system, and it turns out that I was for a reason. Not only does it slow down the map clearing speed of most groups since there are a lot of people who tend to play extremely safe now, like for example stay completely out of the bosses range and dont attack him more than once since they know that noone can snatch their loot anyway.

IMHO, is completely the opposite.
With perma people focus more on killing, because they know they wont lose their loot.
With short allocation, when bosses were next to die, people even stop killing to positioning to picjk the loot. Other times people stop attacking and going for chests, and other guys follow them because the fear of losing their loot. ALso when killing monsters, many people just run and run only loooking for drops to come. Those things don't happen in perma, becaese 99.99% of guys just focus on killing, they wont do the loot anyway. They dont need to run into a pack of monsters to pick their item. They just continue killing, and when the full pack is dead, everyone get their loot. So more faster speed killing with perma.

Imho, perma is way superior in cooperation and killing speed, hands down. Can't compare.

I honestly even prefer short allocation because for me its more fun, but if you want killing speed and the guys focusing on killing, perma is for you.

But I want to be clare that I am not defending perma because I like it more or anything. Honestly, I prefered even if the game were free for all, like diablo2, so don't get me wrong or something. I don't like perma drops at all.

I just talk about this topic because I don't think you are right in your first post, it's all, because of the points I've just said. Perma = faster killing and more cooperation in parties, but imho, less fun (as I said, in short alloc people sometimes just ignore the monsters running for their items while packs alive, before they get picked by others; in perma, they stay killing all faster, that's the resume; and after a lot of play, I'm absolutely sure about this point).

Regards.

Do you realize that you have the option to choose short allocation of FFA? Or are you just being willfully ignorant just so you can qq about something not going your way?

It's funny how you just cry and cry without giving an actual argument other than: "I want it this way."

The main point was that the developers jumped ship, abandoning their own ideals. And thats not debatable, its a fact.
I don't prefer either mode more than the other. They both have some pros and cons. However it is great that GGG is giving the players an option.

While some players may play it a bit safe with perma on...the rest of the team no longer completely stops attacking to spam click someones drop....which bothered me a lot more.

Oh no, the devs changed their mind on something, call the police!

The United States changed their ideals on slavery. Should we get our panties in a twist?

Change can be good.
