Permanent Loot Allocation ... for .. why?

He's just another QQer. Don't even bother fueling his weaknesses. Waste of time.
"Out of every unique I found so far (20+) all of them are fucking junk to a point that even the vendor tells me to shove em up my ass." - DarkKane

"All hack'n'slash games are based on the carrot on the stick 'method', and in PoE's case the stick is so long I can't even see the carrot." - Odoakar
Jesus POE is filled with wannabe hardcore Ninja-Loot Gangsters.

If you want to be Hardcore go play some Darkfall or Ultima Online Felluca Facet and do some PVP. Then you will see what competition is all about. Like fuckin 8yr olds, who just want to grief and annoy other people... and profit as much as possible.

Actually ninja-looting and short alloc. is what causes players to play in a wierd, unnatural way. You can't even concentrate on last-hitting if you're running MF and Lasthitting for the Team... unless you don't care if all your stuff is snagged away right next to you.
So your arguments are completely invalid.

Cut your whining and get over it. Ninja-Looting time is over now. No more pestering and being a nuisance. Ninja-Looting has nothing to do with "Roleplaying", Competition or whatever wierd justification you guys make up for it.

Also annoying to see how trolls get pages of replies.
Next time I will have to disguise my suggestions as some sort of "troll" thread, to get some replies. Fuckin Stupid. The official loot system is filled with pointless discusssions like these too.

"Mimimi we want Ninja-Loot". LAL.

Instead of looking at what we have now. And improving upon it:

most public parties i see have short allocation
Try playing Short Allocation from Australia. 200-400 ping in every party (moreso now than before the new leagues due to the lack of parties). I lose half my drops.

Additionally Short Alloc forces you to stick with your group, even if you could clear more efficiently if you walked a bit further ahead or something (I do this on my dual totems LW build, to stick conductivity down and get shocks on the whole group with Ele Prolif so someone else can come along and Ele Weakness them afterwards and let the rest of the group clean up)

And 2/3 of your party stopping for 5 seconds to stand around the single Alch or Chaos that dropped while the one dude who's it was is off killing shit is a waste of time.

I'd rather a party that focused on killing stuff rather than the loot.
More options are always good. Just look for like minded players (ones that like to fight over the loot in this case), add them to your friends list, and do runs with them!
Everything I do I rush through so I can do something else.

So the first guy brings up exactly what I talked about in the last two paragraphs. Amazing.

I didn't say anything that was included in your last 2 paragraphs, just trying to be helpful. I did not say don't play in pub groups. I said just make your own with your own loot rules. People will still join it. It is a different option compared to joining permanent loot groups. No need to be rude, but it seems you already made up your mind and want to be contradictory.
agreed with OP. Them putting in permanent allocation was an alarming change of stance that does not bode well for the other tough features of this game. Casuals know the secret to success to just complain and complain and complain. You dont give a child throwing a tantrum what they want, you smack them upside the head and tell them to shut the hell up, they are embarrasing you, and you are never bringing them anywhere again if they act like that.

You do not give them the shiny new toy they are screaming for.
Hey...is this thing on?

Hell yeah, fuck kids. Let me get my belt.

Man, I can't tell you how bad your comparison is... most players wanted an option for allocated loot, and there are several good arguments why this is a desired feature.

On the other hand there are a few people constantly complaining and trying to deny the other people's wish, like some little... oh... kids. :)

Perhaps you should try to step back from the whole stuff, see the big picture and realize WHO is acting like a little begrudged kid.
So... what's wrong with providing an optional feature that makes the game more enjoyable? If you are the 10% who want FFA loot, go play FFA loot. The devs are admittedly ninja looter themselves, and kudos to them for not imposing their opinion on us.
I'm sick of the "casuals complaining" bullshit. This has nothing to do with how much time someone spends playing the game on a regular basis. I play a few hours a day and I fucking hate short allocation. I'm in no way a casual player. This is just an ad hominem and shows how piss poor of an argument those using it have.

The idea that ggg have somehow caved in and lost their convictions is silly as well. The multiple loot options simply make the game better, and making the best game possible is their #1 conviction. They're still trying out ideas. Limiting the loot options was an idea and they decided that keeping it that way wasn't making the best game possible. The old "still in beta" argument might not ring true for players because we've been given access to all of the game's content, but clearly it means that ggg feels that they are still testing things out. Sometimes they find out that the idea they had was a bad idea. At this point the wisest thing is to change your idea, and that isn't a loss of conviction.
