Permanent Loot Allocation ... for .. why?
" PA's core appeal is shifting the focus from looting to combat. That does apply when playing with friends. That is a ridiculous claim. |

"If you're playing with friends, and you agreed to focus on combat, you'd focus on combat; you'd trust them and not need to worry about permanent loot allocation. The point of PA is that you don't trust the people you're playing with. I mean, obvious stuff here; PA is a anti-ninja feature. I'm completely dumbfounded that anyone would disagree with this. " No, it's still there. Because it's such a hassle if you don't grab your stuff before the timer runs out. I am speaking from experience here, so you can't really argue agains it. 90% of my time in PoE has been in groups with close RL friends and the only thing we competed for was chromatic links. And yet I still think that PA made the game more enjoyable! " It's more than that. I have told you before, but all I got was a "learn to play". FFA is/was a horrible system - it doesn't encourage anything but people scanning the ground for drops. It turns the game into a challenge of who can click faster, and puts ranged users at a disadvantage.
GGG didn't "take it up the ass" they gave the player base options, and if the playerbase is choosing a particular option, its because that's what the playerbase considers fun. So, complain to them, not GGG. "the premier Action RPG for hardcore gamers." -GGG Happy hunting/fishing Dernière édition par Wittgenstein#0994, le 20 juin 2013 à 07:58:20

"What hassle?!? If one of your teammates grabs it, they can trade it back to you... or you could just ask for some assistance later! Maybe PA is actually there as some kind of self-delusion enabler, so that you can think that you have friends when the reality is that they'd all cheat behind your back at the first opportunity, and have no interest in helping you out if you're struggling. "I think people were still encouraged to kill the monsters in addition to scanning the ground. Need to put more stuff on the ground eventually and all. Paying attention should be rewarded. And giving melee an edge over ranged is fucking fantastic. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. " But you need to keep track of the stuff, therefor it takes focus away from what I consider the real game. And it doesn't add anything for me. |

One thing that sux about this is if you are playing melee with a bow guy in your party... then melee guy gets all the bows and bow guy gets all melee weapons. ):::::::::::
Some people are nice and would lovely give you that rare Stone Axe in mud flats etc... some people will just vendor it... sux. |

" How about this: Every now and then a small red dot flies on to the screen, and if you click on it in time you get a reward! " Lets give melee an edge by making them better on mondays and fridays! |

" Yeah, D3 Barb.. it's fanfuckingtastic. Btw. I don't think quoting less than half the post and ignoring the rest of it will lead to any worthwhile discussion. |

" It is. It's a substitute for actual formation of at least some sort of social bonds and just plain normal player-to-player interaction. I don't know why people don't mention this as a factor more often. |
