What's the point of spending 100s hrs building your character to eventually ditch it?!

This game is clearly not what you are looking for. There are lots of games like what you want. I would encourage you to try some of them. This post is akin to asking that elden ring be made a first person shooter or Baldur's gate be an age of empires simulator.

I believe true ARPG gamers like what I said, because we want to play actual game not chase finishing builds in 3 months and trade.

If you think true ARPG gamers want anything to do with multiplayer you should cut back on the delirium stacks.

You are absolutely right, its like speaking with a cult lol
They still can't fathom that we want additional stuff not removing stuff or changing it.

GGG doesn't want additional modes.. That is absolutely not them. The last thing they want (confirmed for YEARS) is different game modes they have to keep track of and buy server space for and care for. They have admitted this 1000x over for years already.

They DID make a new mode as the base for POE 2, called "Ruthless mode", so I guess it could happen... but they have denied wanting anything like this for about a decade now.

It sounds like you want something that isn't an ARPG, and are gonna be disappointed with the gameplay loop.

The kind of people who want to keep playing one character aren't the typical ARPG type. I wish each character was automatically deleted and there was no Standard, it just adds up and bogs down their systems. Every single drop from POE 1 for 13 years is still there on standard. Should just be deleted.

I would say repeating same game and same scenario endlessly is the true delirium
The genre you're looking for is MMORPG. This is a single player game that needs to be SaaS to make ends meet. Nuff said.

It's just how this particular game works, dude. If you want a game that works differently, they certainly exist. There are all sorts of games that work in all sorts of different ways and can I just say for the sake of your personal health that you should absolutely not find it so upsetting and frustrating that this one particular game happens to work in a way that's a little different than you would prefer.

Some games work some ways and other games work other ways. This game works this way. Based on how upset you are about it, I think your best bet is to find a game that works in a way that's less offensive to you because GGG isn't going to redesign their product around you like you're just one dude

Its called feedback forum, if you are too sensitive and was raised that speaking opinions is "offensive" and "upsetting" then you need to grow up. I am not asking for a new game rather an engaging feature to play with others and keep my character for a purpose. If that's too hard for you to understand, then try reading.

In future, you can simply say you I don't like the idea without the fantastic assumptions you pulled out of your... life is easy

Go play on the infinite server with your infinite character. Problem solved.
These people have a serious unhealthy addiction.

In any case, my suggestion does not remove the endless loop system, it just suggests additional options and features to have a game that is not solely based on repetition. What's wrong on that? How does it harm you?

Your "suggestions" are not separate from all the other stuff you wrote: namely the title of the thread and like 90% of your post related to NOT playing more than one character.

That's like deciding to play a chess match, KNOWING that its chess, but mid-game trying to get your opponent to play Monopoly instead using the same chess board and chess pieces. You fundamentally misunderstand the game YOU chose to play.

There are certainly things you CAN change, but complaining about a foundational element of the entire genre (of which there are maybe only two or three total) and requesting it fundamentally change is quite ridiculous.

It "harms" everyone who understands the game they are playing. The entire rationale behind every one of your ideas is fundamentally flawed and against the foundational pillar of WHY people choose to play this game. And those who have continued to choose to play this genre over the last 30-40 years.....instead of playing a myriad of other game genres that give you EXACTLY what you want.

TLDR: you don't ask to change chess into monopoly....you simply STOP playing chess, and find a monopoly game to play.
Starting anew....with PoE 2

The only way infinite play would work would be if the equipment/etc that we had were downscaled every patch which would be cool to have that unique start but i don't see them ever doing that its a lot of work and not everyone would want to opt into it, many would choose to go to standard all the same just as they did with poe1 for a decade+ some would even stay in standard forever and not touch the temp leagues.

it would simply be overpowered in almost any state unless nerfed completely into the ground on top the game would have to be re balanced around it and then while they could do the same thing with the skill tree the power that would add even at say a nerfed 5% of its total would make you overpowered no matter what and those who didn't want to reroll their character unbearably weak.
Innocence forgives you
