lvl 95 and I am done!

I think the real problem is the punishing XP curve above level ~90. The death penalty isn't such an issue if players can reasonably progress to level 100 assuming they don't die.

But it just seems so much more difficult in POE2 to level above 90 than POE1. I had multiple level 95-99 characters in POE1. I played for weeks in POE2 and only got to level 93. And I barely ever died.

yes, it is. Monster level in poe2 red maps are lower than in poe1. That means a great increase on XP penalty. Also, clear speed is slower here for most builds.

They probably will buff it to get it in line with poe1. But it will never be an easy feat to achieve like some people here seem to desire.

Spin it however you like.

at least.. 450,000 who were playing , aren't.

sorry no.

if players can reach Lv100 easily, they just quit playing, which will reduce the daily active number, then GGG can't show a good report to Tencent.

it's not all about the 100, the loot drops suck unless you group with a 6-man group and even than one divine for the same player in 10 runs of the 6 people is ridicilous.

ex is well in the 700 ex for 1 div now, when the game started at around 100.

the RNG loot box randomizer and crafting just plain old sucks.

It's a Cash box play to win game if you buy 3rd party items and currency.

NO THANKS.

Phone APP games for a PC is a losing bet in today's economy.

You pros out there have fun hustling each other.

Since GGG sponsors it.

It's time for everyone to quit playing this game and come back later if GGG eventually fix the core issues of POE 2.

Take note POE 2 is not 100% ARPG game but a Semi-Hardcode game with too much punishment that makes you go rage and quit.

I agree.
But what I will do now?
Back to Diablo 4 after playing PoE2? Jesus , they will take me to mental institutions.
Other alternatives? No, thank you....I know these alternatives, Crap cover crap.

Well I enjoy The End Game and continue. Lvl 96 now!

And if it was easy to get to 100, the title of this thread would be:
"LVL 100 AND I AM DONE!"

I'm sorry but, these are the threads that made me move to HC. I genuinely hope GGG never catters to this type of demand. Because the player that will keep playing the game after you had your "level 100 fun", are the players that will keep the game alive.

I don't want to sound elitist but a 2.5% penalty is not harsh. There's an omen for it. I just cannot believe I'm seeing these posts in here all over the place.

Maybe you guys are just competion and want to see GGG die fast, because if they cattered to that, the game would have zero future.

POE 2 is already much easier than POE 1.
There is really no challenge in this game at all. All pinnacles can get one shot by many builds. You can AFK T4 simulacrums, which is supposed to be "hardest content" in the game.

At least HC exists, thank god, but the player base there is quite low because most devouted players moved to POE 1 waiting for the next reset....
Did not finish to read your post and elitist pops up. Usually I don't even react to statements like this. I just want to remind you that there is not a single bit of motoric skill involved in this game. And by the way. Rethink choices if people can make you do stuff based on their preferences. So what benefit does the actual state of the game give you over a version in which you can reach 100 every season? What difference would it make to you? My wild guess is that is would change nothing for you. Exept you can not go to a forum anymore and tell people how cool of an hardcore elitist you are. Jeez dude...

Because you take away 1 big endgame element from people who love to take on this challange and that entertains many of us for months, not just for few days or even only few hours as in games like Diablo 4. ;)

As said multiple times having a LVL100 char is not essential in POE2 but a beloved endgame challange for many people in POE, despite the fact that it's not neccessary to have LVL100 to beat 100% of the game....you practicaly want to take away this kind of endgame from the majority, only to reach the same goal without any effort.

If you want to reach max level with 0 effort, they're tons of other ARPGs on the market where you can do so.

And don't get me wrong, if you're not able to reach LVL100 within 3 MONTHS it's not the games fault because 1000ts of people are able to do so without any problems.

So instead of complaining how "unfair the game is" you could spend the time instead to either gear up your character to not die and/or improve your gameplay skill to not die....it's that easy.

Or are you the type of person who goes to the gym and blames the employees and gym-equipment why you didn't get the same results after 3 weeks of someone who has trained for 3 years?....Bcs that's how you guys sound here. ^^

It is about the skillpoints. One of the very core mechanics of all arpg. They are gated behind that challenge. Nobody said no efford. I already said, make the current lv97 lv100 xp whise and we are good. That is still a challenge but a reasonable one. I would prefer to cut it even more to just get to another character. I can agree there with it not beeing necessary to grind 2 or more characters per season to the end. But it should be possible for everyone playing this game by just putting in a healthy amount of time to finish at least one. So yeah, it is the games fault. For your analogy, I think a more suiting one would be that I do not understand the world anymore, because I go train hard for also 3 years. And then go up to the jacked guys and ask what is wrong with me and find out about steroids aka trading.

Edit: For the record. I am literally destryoing all content in this game for a while now. Yes, T4 Arbiter, simulacrum and I dont even read the text on fully juiced 80%+delirium T15 waystones I put into citadels double corrupted.

What prevents you from starting a new character without reaching level 100?

Says who? Something not being reachable after X amount of time is not a good argument against it.
Where do you draw the line? Now it's "I want level 100 for everyone", later it's "Divine drops for everyone", "Perfect items for everyone" and so on.

I said this also already. It is a seasonal game. In a non seasonal game, I would totally agree and even say it would be 10 times to easy to max out one char. And again. It is not about the number but the skillpoints. You guys really want to have it a legacy, right? But why not just implement another mechanic to have that legacy and even a better one? It is so odd having power dangling infront of you but out of reach. A good player will just get more currency and better gear. But that is only done with trade and not playing maps. For the people that grind to 100 as a competition it would not harm. They just play 8h less.
