XP loss on death is no real problem. For me it rather should stay. The XP in total is just too much. I was curious but I could not find a single build online that utilized lv100 skillpoints. This is an arpg. But people do not even try to min/max all available skillpoints. This is bit of a cope because myself would have good use for the missing 3. It feels just measly to know I have to play the rest of the game to get them and then? I just quit the game when I finally got my skills?
D3 was finally fun and a really good game after they did with it what D4 is now only a shadow of. Not even to mention D2 in that regard. In both games you max out the character while you progress through the endgame. Here it just feels you get hit by Slow Mobius at lv90 to buy whoever some time. If the campange is all you have anyway, why the hell would you want people to be stuck in the last 5lv? The fact that there is nothing to do in the first place is another topic. Does it really impress anyone that there is a 100 and you know the dude has just sit there miserable and grinded like 24/7 for a month? I would not even call it blasting. I asociate that with fun. Put the number there and let people decide if they want to keep playing the game. The skillpoints are completly useless anyway right now.
Everybody is selling the only thing to have some fun to make up for the inflation. If you run your own fragments, audiences and logbooks you end up poorer compared to just throw everything at Alva. And the people who buy these tickets are only lv90 with an temporalis. What after lv100 if I really want to grind the game?
I agree with the take that XP loss on death is not a problem and that it should stay. On the other hand, I think the total XP to get to 100 is too much, even if it took 50% less time than it actually does from 97 to 100 it would still be very very long. I think they could reduce the xp curve starting from 96+, because right now, I'm at 97 and there is no way I'm spending 500 hours to get from 97 to 100 in any future league.
At 95 we are pretty much already overkilling stuff anyways, maybe there should be some level 83/84 areas if they're not willing to change the xp curve. I have around 1000 hours in the game and consider myself a try hard and no lifer. But mindlessly killing monsters for 500 hours to get 3 more level can't be great...
