Auction house

I really like this game but trading is obnoxious. Most people don't even respond to pm's and api is usually at least 30 mins behind. Yesterday i run out of my most used currency. So i had to change some exalts to chaos, then buy some sextants , vall orbs , and alchs. Finally use alchs to buy some sacrifice fragments. Long story short more than one hour of good gameplay...

can somebody tell me since when was the functional page for purchase / sale?

I remember... long time ago was trading via ingame chat :)


This trading system is just not that good, as the game is...

I love the white knighting about the current trade system and how its better than actually obtaining items that you are looking for.

Current system:
Leave the game/alt tab to pathofexile.com/trade or poetrade.com
Search for item.
Whisper/copy and paste
Back to game, paste.

Repeat x 5/10/15 times until you either give up or someone responds 5-10 minutes later.



OR...

Some sort of automated system / auction house / kiosk

Open up GUI IN GAME!!!
Search for item
Click buy
Item is deposited into stash or your inventory.
Continue playing Path of exile.

Now I understand Diablo had issues with an AH and I dont want that here. But theres nothing you can say to me that makes the current system better than some sort of automated in game gui. Jeez at the very least, put the GUI in game. Its 2019, why must I leave my game experience to experience another part of the game (trading). Poor development, poor concept.


I will also add that any gamer friend of mine that I have shown POE too is instantly turned off by the fact that you need to leave the game and whisper X amount of people for an item instead of something more streamlined. Once they notice that it is very difficult to farm out the items you want (there are exceptions), they turned to trading and see what POE has in place. They laugh and say no thanks. Every single time, every single friend that I show POE to has the same reaction.

Current system: Don't trade. Or trade but quit bitching about it.

The option to trade AND bitch about it is insane. They've come out at least a half dozen times and said that they wont be adding "easy" trade.

No auction house please. Player interactions are what makes this game special as well.

No, dont need one, people need to stop asking this. If you have an issue searching for what you want, and god forbid, interacting with another player to get it, then, this might not be the game for you.

It's the most sane thing to do, GGG should expect that players do it constantly, now and forever. People simply identified what the best thing to be doing is in the game, and they identified that the system of doing it is bad. Really not giving them that feedback constantly is insane.

PvP - dead
Group play - dead, unless your carrying newbs for quant bonus
Raids - non-existent

The only two aspects of this game that remotely resemble a true multiplayer experience are guilds/trade and trade is even questionable at this point as you are mostly dealing with bots.

Then, find another game instead of complaining about how bored you are and how bad the aspects of the game are?

Based on the most recent interview with lord chris, this will never happen. not even a mini AH for small orbs and maps.

Unless Tencent decides to fire Chris and replace him with someone who will bring the chinese AH over. There is still hope.
