Auction house
a trade house would be huge quality of life change, so it wont be added, POE is by far the worse game i have played for adding quality of life stuff, item comparisons, damage numbers, gains and minuses from points on the tree, they literally want you to skip out the game to check all this stuff, i stopped playing poe 2 weeks in to the rouge exile league after playing from closed beta and come back for this league, and tbh i can only see 2 QOL changes in like 5 years, word search in stash and shops and the tree, and the support gems showing you what you can and cant use when you have skill in sockets,
and btw we have a online AH and guess what, it did jake **** to the economy because THE ECONOMY RESETS EVERY DAM 2 MONTHS holy crap, this whole argument about the in game economy is such BS |

" Let me quote from your link: But as we've mentioned on different occasions, it became increasingly clear that despite the benefits of the AH system and the fact that many players around the world use it, it ultimately undermines Diablo's core game play: kill monsters to get cool loot This exacty happend and happens all over again with every new league. And without any AH!! Kill monsters to get cool loot? Give me a break. At the moment even an intermediate players and all advanced players do not pick up anything but currency, a few base items out of a thousand and a few uniques out of a thousand. Rest is obtained by crafting and trading above all, no matter if there is AH or not. If trading was easier then just... it would be easier. Besides, nothing would be gone, because it's more efficient and comfortable to buy something than to "farm" it. And if someone does not like trade, he does not have to trade. " Now you're generalizing and undermining a lot of players. I pick up loot. A lot of people I play with pick up loot. And you know what? Thousands of players pick up loot. The "the game is already like that"-arguments aren't only old. they are inaccurate. This game isn't "all about trading". Maybe it is for YOU, but not for everyone. Making trade easier (read: Making it easier to acquire gear), forcing GGG to lower drop rates, the game WOULD be all about trading, destroying the fun for those of us actually identifying gear. I stay away from trade as much as I can. I wouldn't be able to if an AH saw the light of day. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" What? So now you do not trade, if you do not have to, but if they introduced AH, would you "have to"? What is this crazy logic? I do not play totems, not my style of play. It does not matter what new totem would be introduced, and I would not use it anyway. But you, who do not like trading, would you suddenly have to trade? Or what? Limitation of loot? Excellently. They should have done this for a long time instead of introducing "loot filter". I wouldn't mind. Now I have to set it every league to avoid all rhis mess. Examples:
1. I want to buy 300 chromes. I find sellers, copy and paste whispers. Typical situation: - top 10 are just pricefixing, they will get alert when some dumb schmuck copy their price and buy it to sell for their real value; pf course all fully scripted and automated - next 30 are too busy to answer (i.e. lab/ long delve forgot dnd), do not have enough chromes (not all showed), or ignore petty trade requests - ... afterwards you either get too annoyed to continue or but your chromes in 41 trade request (several minutes down the drain) 2. I need specific map for elder spread. Typical situation - see above 3. I found a rare I like. Typical situation - see above, or: - no response as seller is too lazy to price an item and prefers just to dump it with arbitrary price just to see number of requests in the first 1h to price it accordingly 4. I need 5000 Perandus coins. Typical situation - see above, or (fortunately not that often anymore): - 'seller''s buddy jumps your ho and runs to intercept your Cadiro I assume GGG reluctance to build any trade qol experience is to counter items develuation fue to overflow of items sold. I do not see a case here. If you want to sell items - you do it in AS-IS mode. The issue is with buying stuff, especially bulk trades Well, whis thread is obviously pointless as we had so many of such in the past and will in the future, just something yo do poe-wise while waiting for patch notes |

" This. Players already stopped picking up items, even with current system. How can AH make things worse? AH actually would make things BETTER, because players will spend LESS time on trading (cause no price fixers, no invite-tp-trade-ty routine, etc), so naturally they will spend MORE time actually playing the game - killing monsters. Nope. Just move on from this game i'd say. I can recommend you Grim Dawn as a substitute.

They don't need an 'auction house'
Just look at Eve Online, the biggest 'auction house' MMO on the 'net, and it's so bad that no one plays it, right? At any rate, perhaps they don't need an auction house market interface, per se, but they *really* need to automate it better. Bots already do that now, though people get banned now and then. But how is that auto-hotkey trade interface any different? Just because it yanks the player from wherever they were to their HO to conduct the trade rather than playing the game? Just leave things as they stand now, but have the whispers parsed by an automated system. Buyer shows up at the HO, is presented with the item, inputs their currency (no haggling), and the trade is done without any input from the seller. Anyone who wants to haggle or use alternative currency can still go about it by direct interaction. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. - GGG Makes the game explode millions of useless items per minute and players create ways to hide and filter them.
- GGG Makes it hard to obtain items that you are unlucky to have drop for yourself by forcing us to stop playing to trade items. Players create tools to reduce the time needed to spend buying/selling items. Trade bots are all over the place I have noticed pretty automated trades sometimes. Obvious that a lot of people use Alt accounts with some kind of Trade Bot running so they can focus on playing the game. - GGG Severely limits stash space and requires you to spend hundreds of $ on stash tabs to make the game playable. Players create mule tools keep track of items stored on mule characters and list them for you without having to relog thus saving time. Mule Bots are a thing allowing easy exchange of items to/from Alt accounts. If GGG does not cater to our needs, we will and sometimes we will use questionable/risky ways to get the QoL that we deserve. They want certain things to be a certain way but GGG cannot control our behavior in these aspects so why not give us a break? There are solutions to giving us QoL without breaking the game, just need to put the effort in. Wouldn't it be better if everyone had some convenience instead of those that choose to fill the gap with tools that are Okay as well as against the ToS and even the playing field with those that want to stay legit/pure to the game?
