When selling and buying items you always have to consider if it is worth the time spent, searching / going to hideout / finding item.

I like this aspect.

But please, understand that I want one, too. Auction Houses make things much easier. Also sometimes very fun buying and selling and sniping. I love auction houses.

However, Auction Houses ruin games and destroy economies. I see it in every single AH case. First, prices drop on everything and the sellers cry. Then the AH-cannibals come in and buy everything up, jacking the price to heights that only the super rich can afford and make the buyers cry. This coincides with the cannibals opening a website promising you will be "pleasantly suprised" (spelling error intentional) at how easy it is to buy 1000s of Chaos Orbs and hundreds of Exalteds so you can "enjoy" the game. Only $9.99.

Sheeeit, I hate it all. I really do. I love Auction Houses and hate what they become.

Really, there's a TRADE Channel. If you don't want to use poe.trade or the official or whatever, then just use the TRADE Channel.

POE does not need an AH, GAWD no, please... An AH would insure I never get the equipment I need for an affordable price.

GGG made it clear as-is trade they consider about perfect. Never understood reasioning however many times I read original statements and their interpretations. IT seems to me that general idea is that being noob is and should be equivalent to getting screwed by cheats and pro traders and rurning blind eye to scripted pro traders (illegal in theory everpresent in practice) suffices.
It seemd to me that this is about the most useful bosuses of guilds - <50c currency trading and <10c maps trading.
Trade system is by far the most annoying aspect of poe as far as I am concerned. Some friends went SSF, their reasoning includes 'SSF by design allows me to concentrate on playiong rather than wasintg half of my game time trying to find someone selling stuff'

Auction house or automated shop system will break GGG's economy.
You won't be needing to buy any more stash tabs, you won't need 3rd party applications and sites, you won't need trade bots or price fixes.
GGG will go bankrupt and close the game.

Anything that let's you trade items without playing the game is bad. If there ever was an auction house, you should still need to be logged in and not AFK for your items to be tradeable, and you should have to hit a yes/no popup when someone finally wants to buy your item. This would prevent you from being able to get better items while you sleep instead of actually playing the game like everyone else.

And since the current PoE trade system does that pretty well I see no reason to change it

Why would you want a ah. So the credit card warriors can buy from 3rd party and buy out gear easier to flip it.


Or are you one of those people that gets tilted when someone doesn’t anwser you back when you try to trade them.

What if the stash tabs were still required and you could open an interface that searched what people had in their sales stash tabs and you could buy the items from the interface if they were online and they would get notification of the sale and the item would automatically be transferred from their stash to yours?

I don't see how a gameplay undermining feature such as an auction house in Path of Exile would yield different results than Blizzard's Diablo 3 Auction House. As such I certainly hope one will not be implemented in the future.
