Is Melee bad???

Or you can just skip the slow "Leap Slamming Into" part with Consecrated Path! Really, now. You can totally own the endgame in different ways. Even though I mostly play mage or dot builds, last league, I played a summoner Guardian, then switched to JUGG with Molten Strike/Cons Path and went far deeper into Delve than with any other char.

If constant progression is what's giving you problems with melee, why not try a stat scaling build? Like with HoWA or Brutus' Lead Sprinker. Both are like 1c now and are super strong, plus level very smoothly the more of the core stat you add.

I liked messing around with Consecrated Path and thought it was pretty cool. Heck I wanted to try the new Steel abilities but those are both ranged melee. Maybe could try that.

I guess I could try those but I had a lot of fun with my leech lancerate build after I picked up Sinvicta's Mettle
Try "Engineering Eternity" youtube channel, he does builds fully explained and has MANY melee builds that kick arse.

Currently running a debeon zerker cyclone based on a build i made 15 months ago and currentlt lvl 90.

Let me tell you that i never had such a shit experience playing PoE like im doing right now. And oh god i didnt know zerker changed to be one of the shittiest asc on the game, with that being said, Yes Melee has been always a disadvantage & the only way you could fix that is by having some sort of vaal pact build, insane damage or super tanky slow build. GGG tried once to help melee builds with fortify but wasnt enough nor efficient as it takes an extra gem spot, i thought when they added the asc melee is finally gonna have some skill notes that help them survive better, Also was wrong. on the contrary like in my situation where im playing with the only asc that have downsides in the game i have to lose 5% to 10$ of my HP every second.and because of that i cant run vaal pact .

I could babble all day on how they could help melee (actual melee) build survive better & how easy it would be but honestly i dont know how GGG mindset works on these stuff.
For examlpe jut add more life both % and flat across the board in melee ascs (So ranged builds wont abuse it). More leech (even though its a broken mechanic but the only way to facetank with melee LUL) more armour..

Also i never understood the logic behind accuracy for melee weapons. How can you have the same accuracy as a bow or wand while using a melee weapons. Melee weappns should be logicaly more accurate by default for obvious reasons.

ES hitting 10k+ efficiently while HP hardly reaching 7k or 6k. I just dont get it and im playing the game from time to time before it even came to steam.

Btw those were just some of the examlpes simplified.

Like others have said, GGG hasnt figured out a way to provide what range gets as a positioning advantage to enemy damages that seem to be always near the enemy being fought.

So youll always have the most dangerous spot on top of the mob packs with no options to damage while moving or to relocate to a safe spot to damage. Which is where melee needs to be.

Because you lose the advantage of positioning, and the most dangerous place is game is where melee needs to stand...you have an inherent disadvantage.

Pair it with 2h melee being 6L it gets expensive, also youll need more specific gear to deal with the inherent dangers adding expense to melee.

Or you could roll bow/totem/minion/magic not deal with having to camp in the highest damage taken areas of the game and do the same or more DPS with less invested.

So no, melee isnt bad, but its exposes you to massive pain in the ass situations that you cant avoid, for no real return in other advantages.

Its all cons with no pros vs choosing a range build is the gist of it.

Most of the PoE community doesn't think period they just take whatever some streamer says as gospel.
Currently being stalked around these forums by some clowns who caught feelings over being called out at being grossly inept at their job.

Not at all. It's rather simple; Why be in close taking more damage and doing less damage, when you can be at range taking little to no damage, doing more damage.
