Its time for fortify+movement skill to die

It won't do anything, as fortify only works with melee abilities. Bow users never could use fortify, and casters needs a movement skill to activate it.


For the topic I'm hoping they will remove fortify soon and try to rebalance the survival difference between ranged and melee builds. They already changed volatile to be more melee friendly. I think if they reduce spike hits, somehow make off-screening less effective, add some melee-favored monsters/rare mods/map mods (Like Diablo 3's mortar mod that has a minimum fire range), fortify wouldn't even be needed.

Like you mentioned that was over a year ago, yet they've done nothing, not even a 10% nerf to how fast melee movement abilities are since making that statement.

You know what would still enable people to zoom across the map, removal of fortify from melee mobility skills. As a result they get to apply a nerf they probably want to do anyway, while at the same time not rewarding players for double dipping on the mobility aspects AND defensive aspect you get with using fortify in your links.


The change I'm suggesting could simply be phase one of fixing melee mobility skills and has enough time to test this properly internally before the deployment of the next league.

Yeah well the only relevant point (to me) is, GGG seems to be fine with the situation as is and thus its unlikely they´ll act.
If they wanted, they´d already be done with it by now.

Doesnt mean you cant ask for changes or anything like that.
Ofc you can but you should be realistic about your odds to actually achieve changes.

You havn't understand what i wanted to say.
You activate it with a move attack skill (my bad for archer), but It'll only be efective IF theres enemy at close range. So you can run around with fortify, but it only apply it's buff if you are close enough of something hostile and alive. Like a reverse proximity shield.

They did say that they were really reluctant to put cooldowns on all the mobility skills (thank the lord)... Removing fortify isn't that big of a deal to me personally.

I would still love shield charge without the fortify... if they want to remove it cool. I just wish people would drop the notion that GGG will "rebalance the game once all of the nonsense is removed".

No... they won't. They won't rebalance any incoming damage. People will just bitch more then they already do about one shots.
