GGG, don't favour streamers for CBT access.
I'm just replying to OP as I did not have time to read whole thread yet.
I would in fact go the opposite direction if I'm GGG, I would simply let most well known streamers into the beta (still not sure if at the very start or a bit later) to ensure publicity and information flow to the masses. My view is that most of the streamers are also very knowledgeable about the game so they should be able to provide good feedback. I can only assume closed beta will start with few thousands of invites, which mean that 50 or 100 spots for streamers is very marginal difference. |

" Depends if the guy recieving that answer actually understands the concept of betas. In case that you don't, its hardly a free demo as there's pretty heavy chances a lot of issues will arise during it, specially considering the new server techs they're introducing. From having played in most of Blizzard's recent betas, i can promise you that if they widely open it to everyone it might actually drag them down, schedule-wise, as they will have to slog through endless amounts of pointless complaints purely related to the nature of a beta to find any useful feedback, which might cause problems as they most likely don't have a QA team nearly as large as Blizzard. Note that i'm not saying that to point that i'd be better suited than others for it, not really interested in played in betas myself anymore, just don't have the time to bother with it, i prefer playing the finished product. Besides why would a new player worry about A4 when he has 3 others to go trhough first? |

" The folks that I'm referring too don't even deserve the label fair-weather friends. They are never friends or friendly and I don't even think they know what fair weather looks like. For them, it is always raining. Thanks for all the fish!

" I do agree with Clive (though I am basically F***ing myself :) ). Looking at the title and OP thread, I agree from experience that "streamers" =/= "providing good fair feedback", but yes, again what Clive said. |

" I didn't know about these guys, so thx for the link. Really enjoying their music. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

I agree what Clive said, people that are knowledgeable and give good feedback around balance and such should get priority for cbt. Yes it sucks for the rest but hey at least GGG said there will be a few things to keep everyone happy.
Oh and back before the release of the game we had to pay 10$ to get into the closed beta or get picked from a lottery. I hope they dont go this route again. Closed Beta Member.

You also need people who will not make the best of plans, put together the most obscure and odd things.. and then stumble over interesting shit.. I'm that category.. sigh..
However, it's been useful in betatests in the past, although those weren't primarily games. I can at least pride myself in finding bugs that "skilled" users would never have come across as they never would have thought to put some of those things together. generally dangerous

Don't think it will be a random draw. more like;
Top streamers(doesn't include nobodies with 70 viewers.) -> People who've actually paid any kind of money(supporter packs, cosmetics) -> Active HC players who win races/are always high in leaderboards -> random peasants who play for free D: Dernière édition par Ormagoeden#2837, le 12 avr. 2015 à 14:06:54

" What if its only scrubcore players who never donated a single cent? QQ abounds! |

" This unless GGG has some hidden secret I don't get the point of hyping a closed beta I need a signature to look legit
