GGG, don't favour streamers for CBT access.

Streamers are players though. Why would GGG favour them? All it does is kinda make them look bad.

they are players that give GGG free advertisement

also how does it make GGG look bad when every company gives streamers access to betas?

What if I run down a busy avenue nekked with a giant sign announcing Act4 strapped on, can I get in?

If you actually did that and it say made the national news I would totally support GGG giving you beta access lol

of course you would likely have bigger issues if you did that, you know like the whole getting arrested thing lol
I dont see any any key!
imo closed beta will basically be an advanced alpha test realm with it's own forum and client.
the alpha client version didn't have streaming functionality and my hard guess is the closed beta one will not have one either.

it doesn't make sense to have streamers publish gameplay the majority of poe players has no access to.

streamers will probably be invited though because of their deep knowledge of the gameplay but it's uncertain if they will join.

Well ZiggyD said that streaming will likely be allowed
I dont see any any key!
shit.. i may have bitten off more than I can chew here.. don't tempt me guys
Don't forget to drink your milk 👌
I think all the popular streamers should get access to closed beta. They are more likely to give valuable feedback.

I am sure a lot of people would just play closed beta just for the sake of playing and for fun.

They probably wouldn't even contribute on giving feedback to GGG on what needs to be fixed or balanced.

thats a very good point

A lot of the popular streamers are popular for a reason, and it's not always because they are entertaining. A lot of them are very knowledgeable about the game and cater to a more competitive audience than the general public. An average casual player is too busy playing the game or simply doesn't care to watch Helman win races, Etup grind the ladder, HVR getting top 5 again, etc.

If GGG uses knowledge as criteria for selection, of course a majority of those popular streams will get in. It's not because they are purposely saying "You stream, you're in." But rather "Your stream is popular because people think you're a good educator of the game. We, along with your audience, respect your opinion and thus you're a valuable tester." This along with the fact that streams will be pivotal in providing hype to those that don't get in is just all the more reason for them to choose said streamer.

You're looking at this the wrong way honestly. They aren't going to favor streamers just because they stream. They'll favor them because their opinion is valuable and many of these guys are famous for pushing the limits of the game, which is exactly what GGG wants in this beta.

also explicit and rafurion are entirely correct. A beta needs beta testers, not gamers/players.

People that hold the game's best interest at hart and will push the limits to ensure a quality product is delivered to the community when it ends.

You should be thankful if streamers like ghudda get an invite, because surely he will save many players a RIP by finding problematic bugs and reporting them.
