GGG, don't favour streamers for CBT access.
" The last time I remembered his viewing ratings dropped like flies when he started streaming POE that he had to go back streaming heart stone. |

" He never stopped streaming PoE because viewers, and if PoE causes such a large viewership drop as you claim... then PoE is probably not too interesting at that time... Act 4 looks exciting enough to get people interested... but that's just me... Also many streamers WILL stream a different game or games regardless of viewership... Trump, which is a well known hearthstone player that also pulls 25k average viewers, streams skyline, and even Pokemons on some gameboy emulators also he streams WoW as well, his viewers goes to about 12k when he does pokemon but that's still 12k people watching him playing pokemon... are you saying PoE is worse than Pokemon Silver? The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change. Welcome to PoE. Dernière édition par Pewzor#2343, le 12 avr. 2015 à 06:14:57

so w/e he loses 20k out of his 5k and streams like that for a week before he gets bored again.
Thats still five times more than the average number poe streamers get currently. How often do you see someone watched by more than 1k? Its often evenings on a weekend when a bunch of streamers are all hosting the same guy. Pretty much doesn't happen. I probably won't watch kripp because I'd rather watch some other people, or actually play the closed beta myself with some friends but I still want kripp to stream because you just can't dispute that he brings in more $$ than pretty much all other streamers now. " If you dont want spoilers you probably don't want to watch Kripp IF he streams PoE again. He's known to give out hints and tips that some don't want to know and rather learn thru trial and error. " I think CBT is a really unfortunate acronym and we should stop using it. |

I never said I don't want spoilers. I said I'll be watching someone else as I "test" the closed beta content ☺

The reason I found PoE was thru watching D3 streams before I was about to purchase it and wanted to see how the game looks, and I stumbled to kripp's stream via some other D3 streamer's link to "Other notable D3 streams" and Kripp was streaming PoE in OB... and I downloaded PoE instead of buying D3 instead......
and GGG has made over $300 from me because of Kripp. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

With all this terrible arguing and complaining, I had to come in and set the record straight...

" Been holding my tongue throughout this thread because my blunt opinions should get me probated but this really takes the cake so this is my attempt to state my opinion without being probated. This has got to be one of the least intelligent comments I've read on the forum. For some reason, a group of people seem to think they have some POE privileges granted by a virtual 'Bill of Rights' that GGG is violating. GGG is a private business -- their decisions should be driven primarily by what brings the most value. This is not a democracy; your opinion means potentially nothing; and you have only one true legal vote that GGG can not take from you: the ability to leave (vote with your feet). That's it. Nothing else. If there is one type of player that should be in the top tier choices, it is the streamers. They are by far the biggest bang for the buck. The benefits of streamers in bullets/spoilers:
1. Viewers, lots of viewers.
-Potential new players/customers -Potential new revenue -A host of opinions/feedback from a single account/instance (possibly more than 2000:1 return on investment)
2. Dedicated Playing Time
-Many streamers have a lot of time to play games -- for some a full time job. (If you want to be jealous, be jealous of that!) -Highly likely they will get high density of playtime from a streamer whereas someone like me can only dedicate time where I am not with family or working
3. Documented Experience
-Streamers tend to have a portfolio of games they've played bringing a host of experiences for feedback -The experience is verifiable whereas GGG can't verify anything with me other than the information I've given/they have collected Your want to be in the Closed Beta is understandable but if you are not an attractive candidate then expect that you won't be unless there is a randomized lottery for non-preferred candidates. My only hope that GGG has a black list of people that won't make it because people who act a certain way in game and on the forum should NEVER be given this opportunity. Thanks for all the fish!

Streamers are a great way of exposing and promoting their game.
