Please Remove MoM from Tree

MoM could have some synergy with Duelists using high mana leech. Problem is EB is required to create any sort of meaningful mana pool. Especially since the rework of the life/mana% nodes that were added near the Scion when the keystone was introduced. Or you don't use auras which puts it in the same league as Blood Magic: too big cost for too little benefit, reserved for dedicated party players.

You miss point. If its bad against uber it's just less bad against lessor content but still bad.

so you say that burning damage is bad?

As someone who tried this, you can't.

I had mana leech, mana on hit, mana when damage taken - you just can't do it. Mana leech's mechanics are just too weak, and the duelist has such low intelligance their mana pool is fucking awful.

If vaal pact applied to mana leech, you might be able to make it work. Without it...nope.

In addition, as a duelist you have so many unneeded/useless nodes within your starting area that its a pain to escape out of it. Simply getting to MoM as a Duelist is a serious node investment.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

Like the whole game should be balanced around uber, LOL.

You do realize .000001% or less of all players do uber atziri right?

I'm PRETTY SURE there aren't even 100,000,000 people who've even heard of this game, let alone played it.

To figure out a more realistic figure, while there is no achievement for beating Uber Atziri, there is one for beating the normal one... And Steam does track global achievement rates.

Going on it, yes, 0.5% have beaten normal Atziri... Compared to 4.5% who've full-cleared at least one map, or 4.0% who've cleared Merciless. So that suggests that around 1/10th of players who've gotten to the endgame (rather than, say, quitting after only playing a few hours; not even 45% have beaten Normal Brutus!) have SUCCEEDED in killing normal Atziri... So the number of those who've TRIED Uber are probably not that far beyond.

And remember that endgame is where the crux of a game's value lies. I don't think many of us are here for repeating Normal through Merciless over and over. It's also the most pressing issue to balance.
My guides: Summon Homing Missile (SRS) | Act II starter RF | Budget Oro's Flicker Strike

When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

And you think that's a valid argument to suggest that the proposed sample size (being "all people who play through Steam") is going to be biased or distorted in some manner?

The point wasn't that it covers ALL players, but in terms of measuring the PERCENTAGE that accomplish certain things in relation to each other, it would give us an accurate picture. If anything, Steam's sample base would show more CASUAL players... As I'd figure those that are still connecting through a dedicated account are likely more dedicated players, and MORE liable to have beaten Atziri.

Also steam players have the additional reason to beat atziri,
that they get an achievement for it.
so that % may be higher than non steam players.
who I believe still make up the majority.
the people who've been around b4 steam was a thing for PoE.
