Why is Trading so Hated?
There are several things about trading that I dislike, most of which are due to people being assholes (wont answer when you message them etc).
But the one thing that really pisses me off, is the actual exchange of goods. The fact that both parties have to be online in order to trade, can be infuriating. Why the hell can I not initiate the trade with an offline person? I post my stuff, he posts his and accepts trade, I accept and DONE - sure it might take 1-2 days to complete all steps, but it sure as shit beats trying to catch someone online for a week or two. Still sane exile?

" hate trading +1 No meaning for current trading. communication? 10 chaos Ok ty ty, that's it! AH is best, just like "Runescape' GE." Let the market decides the reasonable price rather than greedy ppl. And, AH will save everyone's time , then to play, to chat with other guild-members/friends. |

It's like this:
1. The developers said that they actually want an Economy and Economy is important to them. To trade is to stimulate the Economy. People wanted a Hardcore ARPG, not an MMO. 2. Trade stimulates economy but the tools to do so is damn Archaic. Leave it to third parties unaffiliated with GGG to come up with a solution. If not for XYZ, you can expect to sift through hours in the trade forums or trade chat just looking for the correct item. Hours you could have spent monslaying - the essence of the genre. 3. Self-found is viable, no denying that, but you hit a gear wall sooner rather than later, and this limits progress, as you will be too weak or too swuishy to finish off even the most basic Rhoa. 4. Multiple layers of RNG ensures that you rarely get exactly what you need when looking for an upgrade. Let's use Diablo 2 as an example. Say you need an upgrade for your chest piece, so you farm the appropriate Act boss until something barely passable shows up. Even if it's an incremental upgrade, that chest is useable immediately. Compare that to PoE: you farm and get the upgrade you want. BUT WAIT! It should have the correct number of sockets. BUT WAIT! It should have the correct number of links. BUT WAIT! It should also have the correct colors. Sure, the currency system allows you to get the right sockets, links and colors, but it's subjected to RNG as well! If it didn't work out, you potentially wasted ALL your currency. Currency that could have gone to PURCHASING an upgrade outright. |

" It's not even a barter system. Bartering means trading wood for cows. The mere fact that the game has currency (you have to be a total idiot to not notice that all those orbs are just GOLD with different names) is sign enough. When was the last time you traded an item for an item? Let's say a Brightbeak for a Mightflay or vice versa? |

This is offtopic, but i'd really like to see more exalteds, last night i used my one and (probably only) eternal+2 exalts-combo.. i got mana on kill... :D
Since orbs are meant to be for crafting, why not give moar? if droprates are doubled, i probably could used 2 eternals/4 exalts and still get that mana on kill. A little moar orbs, it doesn't even affect the trading, prizes just go up, equal to the droprate increase? d:-D*

I used to enjoy trading, now I don't. It's a cycle. But trading is not playing, don't kid yourself.

No problem with trading, the problem is when you need A LOT OF MORE TIME to trade than to play.
Atm this is a casino simulator and when you get something you can enter to the trading simulator and sell it in only a couple of months. Dernière édition par MildorDArkehn#7296, le 4 juil. 2014 à 05:45:05

Because the game is build around trading and not playing the actual monster slaying part of the game. D3 build their game around the AH and it failed. POE has trading between players which is essentially the same since xyz exists.
The reason why trading sucks is simply people dont want to price their stuff themselves or barter and negotiate, they want set prices on everything and always ask everyone else what the 'ratio' is. |

" I have played the game more than 1 week in the two last leagues obviously, you know the game is older than that... And selling a shav 30ex is not a big deal, it's a big deal when getting 30exalts less than 48hours into a league for it, it means that from lvl1 empty stash somebody got 30 exs in 48 hours, it's pretty amazing isn't it? Please read more carefully posts before judging people... So rude... You make dumb and full of hate statements because you haven't read the post or understood it properly lol. I know why shav's good ty very much. Dernière édition par galuf#4435, le 4 juil. 2014 à 09:19:09
