1) I play the game to play the game, not to spend hours (which I don't have) in chat.
2) Its depressing to interact with the community and be reminded that most of them are mouth breathers... I play to relax and get away from people like that, that I have to deal with IRL.

Trading isn't "so" hated, you only ever hear about the negative experiences because those are the people most likely to mention it. You never hear about the trading experiences that go quick and easy, like the vast majority of trades that I've done, as few as they are.

The only game I've ever been a fan of trading in is Diablo II and any game with an auction house. I hate having to stop the killing monster process to deal with the trading process. This is especially true in Path of Exile when stopping the killing monster process can likely mean I'm burning a portal in a map instance. If I want to trade I have to keep trade chat on, and the amount of trade variety is too limited for that to even be useful. If I want to sell my own goods, I'll just be spamming as well, taking away from the killing monster fun part of the game.
In Diablo II, I just made a game with the name of the good I wanted to sell and the price I was selling it at. Meanwhile, I was running around farming mobs until someone joined my game. I then proceeded to meet them in town, trade, and leave the game to trade again. The disconnect from the killing mobs part of the game is brief. Also, as the trade of the game was heavily unique/set/rune(word) focused it made pricing and selling significantly easier.

Next i was trading some fusings ... a player purched 80 off me ... then 80 more ... then 80 more. I noticed the character was level 82 i asked him what he was trying to link. Well he was trying to 6 link a fucking lightning coil , and he had destroyed 3 5 links with my fusings he purched in the atempt to get a 6 link. So i said to him " hey man if u are trying to 6 link a coil ... stop when u get a 5 link sell it buy another coil and try again this way u save money and it makes getting a 6 link cheaper " . Well the rude crazy ness started first he said that no 1 would buy a 5 link coil cuz to use a coil u need it to be 6 linked ???????? is he a fucking moron !!!! next he told me that PoE was stupid and he has "wasted" 8 ex tring to 6 link this chest and that he was quiting Poe. I told him that any decent item 6 linked is worth about 10 ex as a minnimum cuz it takes about that much to 6 link
So lets break down what this idiot was doing . First off he was trying to copy a build from the fourm , nothing wrong with that , but he was trying to get the GG gear the fourm build player had and some how could not make it work with anything less ( in his mind ) . Secound he was totaly out to lunch about the coast that doing this would be so he set himself up for a let down before he ever started . Third he was he was handicaping himself with not trying to reach his goal in a smart way insted he was going full retard in a vain atempt to get a GG item cuz he thoguht ( i can't progress any more till i have a 6 link ) I mean what can i say to a person like this ?? i tryed to help him but Noooooo it's his hard way or nothing. I hope he quits and never comes back.
...
This little story nicely illustrates several things broken in this game...
Some player is just trying to make the game fun to play, and is forced to use a 'crafting' system which isn't really crafting at all, but a form of crude lottery (buy enough tickets, and you just might win!). Or, he could use a broken trading system which requires popping out of game to awkward forum-indexing websites and hope you might be able to find a relevant listing for somebody who happens to be online at the same time and ready to trade.
While trying to get this broken and frustrating system to work, player gets called a moron and and idiot, his play-style is mocked, and it's suggested player should just quit. WTF?

How is this not considered broken? Why can't we just have a crafting system that isn't random, allowing a player to actually craft an awesome item without having to go through such gyrations? And an in-game asynchronous trading mechanism?
Well said. Thanks.

Trading is hated because the only way to reach the top of the ladder reqires heavy trading, even which a budget build or selffound you will not be able to get exp because of the suboptimal map system

I see top players playing the game and investing little time (compared to actual play time) in trading. I don't know from where you got this false information.
Races like week/two-week/month are very good example of it - people are on top, because they're playing a lot, not trading a lot.

I hate the fact that the game that was designed around traiding has NOTHING, not a fucking thing to make trading work properly.
