does GGG even ban RMTers
" I am not 100% agree on this point. In a game like POE with a real depth in the possibilities of spec/contents, I dont have the feeling that GGG should be too afraid about people getting Bis stuff in an easier way that actually . To compare to D3, you had maybe 2 builds per char and the farm was always the same things with the same monster. In POE, build possibilities are infinite and I am convinced that a lot of fun build with specific unique/stats are waiting for people to try it but honestly 95% cant even try it because its too damn rare/expensive. For example I would like to try a fun CoC, fun CoL, Romira, Bino, Bor, and the odd 1h scepter which give strength builds but most of these items are something like 10-30 ex on Standard League... I dont want to invest what i have farmed for 1 year that much just to try if I enjoy this or not. |

" Yes, this is one of the failed designs of this game. So many possibilities, so impossible to try them out. It's like GGG does not believe their game is fun and longevity could come from continuously reroling and trying new builds, instead from artificial time sinks & exponential RNG layers. Has nothing to do with the thread, but if you once build up a bit of currency you can try any build you want. When you want to try a new one you just abandon the old one , sell the gear and buy new gear for the try. If you know how to trade you won't loose any currency by doing that.

This is only viable for somebody that has no intentions of ever coming back to play that build again. This system definitely would not work for me because I like to keep my characters geared just in case I decide I want to play that one instead of a different one. And really, how come my gear, which works in end game maps, if I were to try to sell it gets constant lowball offers? Oh, thats right, because all anyone cares about is wealth so they offer hlf of what something is worth so they can try to flip it. Also, high end gear can take some time to sell, I dont want to sit idle for 2 weeks while I wait for somebody to buy my gear and then spend another few weeks meeting with all the sellers of the gear I want, some of which may not even play anymore. Ultimately this is shopping sim all the way and it is unacceptable IMHO. I go shopping almost daily IRL for my work. I really dont want to have to do it here just to experience the highest tier of fun. |

It is kind of funny how such a large number of the popular twitch streamers are blatant RMTers and nothing is ever done or said about it. These people fund the hackers scammers and general low lifes of the gaming community.

What's RMT stand for?

" Real Money Trading (At least i'm 99% Sure) and the only true way proof could be done easily would be for GGG to go "undercover" and basically do the buy themselves Hm I half wonder if a version of RMT where the trade is the GGG shop point packs would be done. Most likely not, but would be nice to get lucky and then trade for more stash tabs. Though I'm going to buy a pack this week so after that it won't matter to me again. |

" If another game in this genre becomes popular, and those developers do a good job of stopping rmt and botting, then GGG is going to wish they cracked down on this. What will happen to PoE when honest players realize that rmt induced inflation has put PoE's end game out of their reach? Might they consider an alternative? Grim Dawn is coming out. Just saying. " He instead gets a t-shirt from GGG. Well, if we are talking about the same guy. It's actually comical, if you think about it. Anyway, no point in letting things that you can't change bother you. As long as I manage to have fun in the game, GGG's lack of, or lax, enforcement of their RMT policies doesn't matter too much. There is no better ARPG out at this point, so it's an easy choice. |
