It just shows how important the economy in PoE is for a lot of people. For a lot of people it's the most important tool for character progression. So that is why they panic.

BiS items should frankly be more expensive and out of reach for the mass majority of players.
I am advocating the game be more hardcore than it is because literally any random joe can get multiple mirrored bis rares and bis uniques with barely a few months of play and usually no trade history. Meanwhile, dedicated players who have played since OB have nowhere near that wealth or extravagance. Such progression should take far longer than it is taking now. There are hundreds of examples of these joes in various mirror mega threads.

Ultimately, it hurts the longevity of the game by allowing players a guaranteed means at perfect gear in a game that is based almost solely on gear and level progression.

Standard is a cesspool of greed of and rmt scum and gets worse by the day. Many high level players have resorted to rmting and trade raping 24/7 or have simply quit from boredom and frustration.

Desync team and rmt hunting team are seperate. furthermore, desync does not cripple everyone, but it does for many.

In a way, this is actually true. But you're missing the key question... lowering the prices of what? The RMT industry isn't going to focus on everything their bots farm equally; they're going to focus on particular item types. In this case, they lower the value of currency by lowering the scarcity of currency, and thus, in the conventional sense of "pricing," actually serve to make prices for gear artificially higher than they otherwise would be.

Why? Harder for bots to stack good rares, or even uniques, in their inventories, as they runs for days at a time. Simple as that.
