Soul Taker needs a nerf

Yes this unique is OP, but I'm sure if you found one and it's worth 18 exalts. You go to bed, sign on, GGG has an update, and the update says... "From much criticism, we have decided to make nerf Soul Taker since many think it is overpowered." And your 18 exalt item is now 2 exalts.. Would you be crying then?

You mean like when they nerfed my ele cleave gear to the ground so that they lost over 10+ exa in worth over a night? So that they forced me to go physical cleave?

Yeah, that character is rottening in hell with its gear and I didn't QQ about it.

Point is if people found a Shavs or soultaker and it was nerfed, the common person would be QQing if it's worth 50%+ less...

I'm confused by the posts to nerf Kaoms, Soul Taker, Shavronnes, etc. I consider these to be the Ferraris of the game. I'm working my way up to get items like these. If you nerf the best of the best items, what is my incentive to continue playing the same maps over and over and over again?

Your incentive is to drop or craft rare items. Rare items should always be able to roll better than uniques.

I really cannot fathom why people cannot comprehend this - then again, ignorance isn't fathomable in the first place.

If the thing needs to be nerfed out of "fairness," It's only fair to also take 20 exalt/equivalent from everyone who doesn't have one. Gotta be fair. Don't have 20 exalts in gear? Enjoy grinding the ledge for the next 6 months. Can't progress until you pay it off. Not to mention, some people get really good drops, and I don't. That doesn't seem fair either.

i chance every siege axe that drops hoping for soul taker.
