Soul Taker needs a nerf

It has the same drawbacks as shavronnes, lioneyes, etc

Well before I got my soul taker I had a rare axe that I bought for a few gcp, that had pretty much the same dps. So it was quite disappointing.. and then I cast my extra aura and started spamming cyclones indefinitely, and I was happy again.
It is just a beginning, I'm telling ya.

More Eternal Packs, more OP uniques getting done. Apocalypse is yet to come.

at the people saying it's low dps - are u kidding me? max rolled one can reach close to 360 dps I believe while the best 1h axe is at 391 dps so please tell me how you can say it's low dps?

as they add more content (acts, stronger monsters etc) they will add more affixes, like they already did atleast once. soultaker dps wont change, but rare items will have much higher dps than now, making the drawback obvious (lack of dps). for now those kind of items are bis, but they wont stay that forever

I think Soultaker, Shavronnes etc.are fine the Way they are.

They are the icing on the Cake.

At high Lvls you plow through Maps no matter what.

The high End Uniques provide just some extra Features.

To get these extra Features you have to farm alot due to how rare they are, to either get
enough Currency to buy or find one.

So it is one Goal besides of others in this Game,hunt for specific Items.
When you finally get them they don't turn you into a Shark with Laserbeams on there Head, they just have that extra Thing that makes you want to get it.

I like that.

They have no real drawback. Being only a few percent behind comparable rares (or in the case of Lioneye's, better than all bows) on stats alone and giving piles of power is just wrong.

"Spike" uniques continues to be a failed idea. Let the rares exist for big numbers, let the uniques exist for unique effects, which invariably end up in the "Timmy" or "Johnny" camp.

They will not raise the power level over time. Chris has explicitly said that he hates when MMOs come out with new tiers of power and invalidate all the work that had gone into attaining the previous tier.

There will likely be new affix types, but not affixes that keep going up to ilvl100. An item that is powerful now will remain powerful in perpetuity unless it is purposefully weakened.
