Soul Taker needs a nerf

So you just ignore every other point I made in my reply, for example the claim you made of reserving 4 auras on mana that's not even possible unless you sacrifice something even with ST after the patch fix?

If you read my post which you clearly didn't I say that for dual wielding when using Soul Taker you will still use a rare weapon as your 2nd weapon, since as I also said it can have ~55% more possible base damage. So NO that's not an argument you can make.

What else are you using in your 6L running that?

It would be terrible compared to having one(+shield) or two rare Siege axes with high Local added phys% and two high elemental damage prefixes and IAS suffix + you could use melee physical damage and added fire then. Just terrible.

Lol i still keep old weapon if nerf of soul taker happend.

But with future nerf to covenant/malachai i just can use grace on mana with soul taker and dont care about reserve anything on life.

I think I debunked almost all the claims he made in my reply to his 'rant' but please do tell what can a ST do that a rare 520dps+ Siege axe combined with one item that has mana leech on it can't do?

The only viable complain as I see it is that axes have 28 stats(I think) that it can roll making it so expensive to craft a rare axe that no one even tries to do it and also making it so hard to find a really good one since you really only want to hit 4 or 5 specific rolls and they all have to be tier 1 or 2. But this doesn't mean ST should be nerfed.

Maybe they could remove some of the useless stats on the high iLVL(78-79) ones since there's no reason, no reward for getting those right now. I can't see any reason for anyone that's high lvl having Local Attribute Requirements -%, Mana Gained On Enemy Death, Life Gained On Enemy Death for example.

Like I said on the same page you posted this:

"After aura-exploit fix you will not be able to run purity, determination, hatred and grace on mana unless you use Alpha's howl as your main helm // have reduced mana reserved nodes // have mana on gear and/or increased mana nodes"

You will need a mana pool of 750 to be able to do it with lvl 20 reduced mana gem on all auras.

Edit. Where did the nerf ST crowd go??

There needs to be really powerful unique items in the game, because it keeps things interesting. Not every good unique item needs to have a negative stat on it.

Soul taker probably won't be the best 1h unique forever. There will be higher item levels in the future, with new mods, and new unique items which will probably blow soul taker out of the water.

I'm against nerfing unique items. If they came to the conclusion the item wasn't too powerful when they made it then they should stand behind their original decision on that. This axe is very rare and expensive, and not available enough for anyone to just get their hands on. Also a lot of players are going to be really angry if an axe they paid a lot of currency for suddenly gets nerfed into being next to useless. Nerfs are rarely done with restraint. If they nerf soul taker then it will no longer be viable for a lot of builds that currently use one, to continue using one.

And yes, I'm in the exclusive "Soul Taker owners" group. If they nerf this axe, I'll quit the game.
