Softcore Vs. Hardcore. Can we put it to rest?

I delete everyone from my friends list who play sc, this game shouldnt have anything but hc.

I agree with this. Butttttttttt, loads of HC players just delete the toon when it goes to default as it is, so yea, kinda like Diablo stlye HC for some.

I was being sarcastic, in reference to the guy above me who said that Hardcore isn`t hardcore because you go to softcore when you die.

It was a joke.


Let me explain my joke in an easy to read, numerical format.

1) Person wants to play only Hardcore
2) Person dies, his character is no longer on Hardcore
3) Person wants to play only Hardcore, so has no choice but to re-roll.



My joke is funny because:

1) It`s 100% irrelevant to Hardcore players what happens to their characters after they die, because they only want to play Hardcore.
2) When I die on Hardcore, and want to continue playing Hardcore, I have to start over.


Couple that together with my great one liner of "Logic wins again!"

And you sir, have yourself a great joke!

This argument confuses me. One subset of players are better than another? Ridiculous. Play the game, it's what we're here to do. Not create a caste system to show off our e-peens. This isn't fucking high school.

On top of all this, you don't even know what hc is. In D2 my buddies and I used to play hc and every time you used a pot, you had to put a cigarette out on your own face. That's hc. I laugh at you hc players that use pots. I judge how hc you are based on how many cigarette burns are on your face, making you as sc as they come.
