PoE is still boring compared to D2

Whether we agree or not, please don't bring that Lost Ark bullshit as an example of anything good. It's total garbage game for Diablo fans' taste. It's waaaay too Asian.

Btw. I loved baal runs, it was very social friendly talking between waves.

I really do not miss it but I do miss the awesome loot like death's fathom, crown of ages, even shako. PoE use to have this feeling until GGG nerfed nearly every worthwhile chase unique to the ground.

There has never been the same feeling of joy of getting a voltaxic rift during it's a prime or koams heart when it was 1000 life.

Shit, the only thing that got me into Pvp was being bored after Uber running. It was basically something to enjoy that helped to justify all that super rare stuff.

As much as I enjoyed D2 pvp, the way I remember it was that most duels ended in seconds and it was more of a build/gearing test with a focus on quick reaction - most folks teleporting around in their Enigma trying to hit the other guy before they got hit. Then there was the occasional chargedin that would die a lot but kill you instantly if he managed to land the hit.

The only genre of games that seem to avoid the boring pitfall are FPS games, IMO.

If you played WoW, its hard to get into other MMO's without getting bored fast.
Same for Arpgs with D2 or even PoE(it did come WAY after).
Same for Moba's. Card games. You name it.

FPS games seem to be the only genre of game where you can go do the exact same thing in another title and it not get boring fast. I've shot people over 2 decade's worth of FPS titles, and I still have just as much fun killing people in Battlefield 5, Overwatch, CS:GO as I did killing people in Unreal Tournament, Quake, Doom, Delta Force, and a myriad of others I played when I was in my teens.

I cant say the same for MMO's, RTS's, Moba's, etc.

GGG have one thing over Blizzard with the Diablo franchise,they are far more adventuress with content.There is something restrained about D2 with skills and stats.A few skills were so crippled they were useless.You had these 'Breakpoints' that meant too much of a stat like attack speed additional amounts would have very little to no effect.

today is just a min max solo runs and people are listening to these fucking streamers

i do builds on my own. in my opinion if you follow a guides in poe for 3 years straight, you are either lazy or stupid

You cannot compare POE with Lost Ark because it's an MMO with everything that goes with it:

- dungeons
- raids
- party required for hard quests
- dailies - lots and lots of them

As someone who has spent years of his life playing MMO's I would never mix the two because in my opinion they scratch different itches

- I play MMO's to socilaize and play with others to get satisfaction from team play and beating content in groups.

- I play POE to be able to single handledly do content, farm the best items for myself and mow down content as a one man powerhouse.

Also the conparison with D2 is pointless because while D2 is and always would be an amazing game (a true classic) it can never live up to modern game of the same genre. It lackluster by conparison to not only POE (here by miles) but also Torchlight, Grim Dawn and I even like Titan Quest more. All these games have way more content and depth than D2 has.

There is no challenging boss fight in D2. In poe there are so many players that's been playing 4-5 leagues and still couldnt defead Uber Elder.

In D2 with 9-10 ist rune budget you can kill all ubers with smithers.

PvP looked good D2 because there is no end game. Think that you are doing Kitava run over and over again as endgame content in PoE.

D2 was good. But just for it's time. People had good memories about D2 and want to remember the just good things in D2 not the flaws.

You´re short-cutting things.
The things I liked about D2: Boss hunting without rng gating, partying (Baals, cows mu mu), pvping, Game was more predictable and balanced (1.09 and before) for HC playing / pvping (not talking about open BN or bug items).

On the other hand PoE has better PvE content by far.
