When you can play for 5 hours straight and feel like all you got was currency to show for it, because every thing that drops is complete doo doo....something is wrong.

People that play SSF are kidding them selves. You're handicapping your self AND putting up with terrible drops.

No. You actually got a perspective more narrow than my self-chosen limitations in SSF! It's about how you play the game. You're so focussed on doing the chaos recipe that you miss out on all the good drops you actually have but vendor because you never identify rare items.

If you look at my SSF thread in the Item Display section you'll see I have just as good gear there as I've had had in past leagues. Do I notice the speed meta? No, I don't. I go at my own pace just fine. You decide to play the game a certain way, I get along just fine doing it my way.

Especially with Temples and Incursions on every map, you get so much free loot that it can be overwhelming at times. You just don't notice with uber-strict filters.

Like I said...kidding them selves.

Talking bs with no arguments behind a hidden profile is so 2017. Try a little harder next time.

it isn't a BS argument everyone knows that if you identify a rare it will be garbage a very high percentage of the time, we also have rares thrown at us at an astronomical rate which is why strict filters remove everything other than good bases to start with.

SSF doesn't change this, it just changes the tier of item you find acceptable, the irony is every upgrade you get brings you closer to the trade league dead zone of self found loot.

I don't actually know if the game would be better with better drops though - its one of those game designs things its difficult to say its straight out a good or a bad idea because its just a choice. Whichever they choose will always have problems associated with it.

Yes, SSF changes all of this. Because it's your perception that's causing you to think this way. Everyone is keen on doing the chaos recipe and thus never even identifies rare items.

I have been playing trade league like a pleb for a couple of seasons with the same attitude towards drops, but I see it different now. Almost every trade-league player has such a narrow tunnel-vision they forget what this game is about: slaying and looting.

On a different note: finding less shitty and more amazing rares would devalue them by quite a bit and thus make the endgame progression tepid and stale as well as be a slap in the face of anyone crafting BiS items. It's just a big no.

Best solution i found here is remove all these bad affixes from rares. And rares will not be 99,99% shit, but maybe 70%.

What u get? people will start looking more on rares found, will be less dependant on trade for progressing, but not for having the tier 1 gear. And crafting will become easier too, like exalting an item will have a better chance of a good affix/sufix.

With this, people will try to craft more, "currency sink". Currency being used more as crafting, not like just a coin in most cases.

Item rarity will be a thing again too.

You can't devalue something that doesn't happen, it already doesn't have value. Crafting is the workaround for that.

Outside of jewels which I have crafted of course, the best stuff I have is stuff I simply ID‘d. My exalt slams sucked hard, but Wisdom Scrolls = OP currency lol! We play different games apparently and that‘s okay

Maybe so, certainly my experience has been usable loot doesn't drop past a certain point, ignoring alterations which you obviously get plenty of from selling rares i'd say i'd only have made a couple of hundred c less currency this league if I identified literally zero rares.

You do see people every league though posting fantastic loot all the time but as i've never personally found any I don't really believe they are anything but outliers, but of course I could be the outlier as well ^^ maybe I just get truly garbage drops but across the number of leagues I've played by now I'd really have expected it to normalize.
